Yesterday/today, A new 360 dashboard update has been enrolled.

This dashboard update carries some new additions to the Avatar section and fixes some minor bugs.
As well as disabling unlicensed 3rd party controllers.

This dashboard update has a version number of : 15572, The previous being 14719.

It's likely that this update also carries a new bootloader update to block the RGH.
As well as changes for detecting ODDE's/CFW's.
C4E is currently analyzing this update to confirm whether this is true or not.

As usual, people with ODDE's, RGH able consoles (that are willing to get it RGH'd in the future) and flashed drives should wait out the update until further news has been released.

It seems that you can update and play on Live with CFW's and ODDE's.
However I DO NOT recommend it and it's entirely at YOUR OWN RISK.
Don't come cry at me when you're banned.

edit:
It seems that this is a update targeted to the RGH 2.0
CB has been updated as well as the RC4 Keystream has been changed.
This means that the booting process has been changed to further prevent Reset glitching.

I was going to bitch about disabling 3rd party controllers, but then noticed they're disabling the unlicensed ones.

I guess they have to take a stand against chinese knockoff controllers, but this move tends to hurt the consumer more.

I thought some of them also could cause some serious issues with your Xbox as well.

Nothing too exciting for a standard Xbox user like myself though, the big update should come in the holiday season (with IE9, further Kinect support, SmartGlass, etc).

The controllers in question gave an unfair advantage to players, only Datel ones were patched.

it probably blocks an usb adapter. Forget the name of it off hand. It looks like a usb flash drive. It allows you to use the ps3 controller on the xbox 360 and vise-versa.

If it's datel then it's always unlicensed, that much is true.
Datel have been the target of blocks in 360 firmware updates before, their max memory card got locked out.

well from what i see RGH'd consoles are screwed w/ this update (like it matters for me my slim is unmodded) btw haven been on xbl for over a month so i havent updated yet

Not RGH'd consoles.

RGHable consoles.
14716 and 14719 are glitchable with the RGH 2.0
15572 fixes this by updating the bootloaders and the encryption.

so basicly like Jtag before it,it's dead to all unhacked consoles....sheesh MS and sony are just throwing out useless updates meanwhile ninty is doing things right this time by adding new features to the 3DS w/ every Major update even if they block flashcarts

Ninty isn't doing it right at all.

Ninty hasn't updated the Wii since sept. 2010.
Various exploits have been out for quite a while and still no simple patch.

The 3DS is all new but will get security patches any time soon.
Then it's basically the same as the 360 and the PS3.
