does anyone know if you can get a faux rrod if a system's power cable isn't plugged in all the way? that seems to have happened to me just a few moments ago. whenever I'd turn the system on, it would rrod immediately without powering on. unplugging the cable the rest of the way, then plugging it back in seems to have fixed it. I don't play the system often, and the temperatures are always less than 140 degrees F, so hardware failure seems unlikely, but I really don't want one of my systems to have failed. I moved the system at some point recently which might've dislodged the cable.

I had the same issue with one of my 360 consoles (went through 3 of them... Man was I dumb...). I vaguely remember using the wall to prop the cable up into the console, which helped for a while. It eventually ruined my cable and I had to get a new one. The new one never had the issue.

hmm...I just slightly unplugged the cable again to see what would happen. it rrod again when I did that, so that must've been the problem. the cable seems to be fine, just got slightly unplugged when I moved it. it has been ever so slightly unplugged or else it doesn't turn on at all. ;)
