x86 proc emulation on DS = Wow, that's FREAKIN' IMPOSSIBLE. UNLESS YOU'RE EMULATING A 5MHz 8086 CPU.
Would be nice to have though.

It completely possible, but there would be no point to it.
Speed is not relevant at all.wchill said:lol @ 5MHz 8086 emulation
Nothing was said about emulating a specific processor.
I assume he's asking about the x86 architecture, which the only use for I could imagine was if you were trying to build some sort of OS from scratch, which really isn't viable.
EDIT:
QUOTEI know it's totally possible, just that it is pointless since... well it is.
It'd be so slow that it'd be almost unusable.

Porting DOS to the ARM7 architecture works.

you've just stated something that was already stated..QUOTE said:Just saying.
Since an x86 emulator would be virtually useless, no there isn't one and there won't be.

DanTheManMS said:DOSbox for the DS. Runs at maybe 1 fps, if that, and has very little in the way of user input, but it works as a proof of concept.
Runs Visicalc at least. Just make sure you edit the end of the config file to reflect the program you wish to run.
