Hey guys i have purchased an x360 USB PRO and cki.
Well i have a Phillips-Lite-on DG-16D2S that I pulled from my elite.
Now can someone explain the steps and programs needed to use to flash my drive and start backing up games from my drive to my HDD, also what is the probe used for on the cki?

Thankyou Zac

You will need JungleFlasher. Get the PDF guide for it. You're going to want to make a PogoMoThoin or some sore of similar probe to extract the keys.

So thats where i start?
Im just a little overwhelmed with it all. This is my first time playing around with a 360.
Im downloading the jungleflasher PDF as i write this, and do i just follow the instructions in that?
Thankyou

Hmm its not as easy as you think first few times around I hope the OP has steady hands cause if not forget it! When you flash for your bin file for the first time my advice is don't get too concerned about making a cock up of things, go into it first time with an I don't give a shitee/confident attitude about it else you will get nervous and then the nerves and hand shaking will get the better of you making it much harder! Its all about being very confident about the job and getting it done.

Only time you touch the drive is when you probe MPX01.
Other then that, there's nothing that can go wrong.

Yeah thats true but when I did it for the first time my hands were shaking all over the place so badly it took me a few times before I actually got the probe on the correct pin and held it in place and flashed my Bin file properly, the 3 pins are so close together it is so frustrating to a newbie like I was and he will be too doing it for the first time! After a while it just becomes history!

Be glad it's it's not a Lite-on DG-16D5S. Those are the hardest to do without a replacement board. Also My DIY probe is made with a multimeter probe. So easy to handle...

Thats nothing what about in the days when you had to do the Kamikaze Hack to extract your key!

That's what I'm taking about.

Kamikaze is only for unlocking the drive to flash it.
Key extraction is possible on all slims (except Hitachi) without any probing ;]

Edit:
Kamikaze still exists for those who feel adventurous on unlocking their drive ;]
IMO Kamikaze is harder than RGH for for flashing drives. Key extraction is easy, otherwise. That's why I specified without a replacement board.

Be glad you didn't had to preform the MRA hack then ;p

That was annoying and easy to fuck up

Thats what i was thinking! i did a MRA, was KNUTS!
I kamikaze'd a slim board, not as bad as i thought. still got that board for sale in case anyone is interested... ;)
