Hi everyone, i have all my hombrew files on a 16gb sd card which i also use to install games but some weighed more than that. I was wondering if it was possible to insert the files to be installed on a separate USB stick with the folder called "install" inside

if you mean a larger usb stick, then yes. just make sure you have sig patches enabled and have a way to access wup installer. I'd just leave wiiu/apps entirely to prevent any mistakes, then just have install, and you should be good.

signature patches. you'll get an error about sig patches if they're not present. if you're using tiramisu, they're in wiiu/apps. that's why I suggested just to copy that folder over as well as install. it also contains wup installer, so it will prevent any problems.

oh, no, both install and wiiu are on the sd card. you mean usb stick? ah, you can transfer them to a new one, and swap, yes. however, the sorting will get reset for each when you unplug one and plug the other in. also, the wiiu doesn't like usb sticks, so it's possible it will work at first, then start giving you black screens. I suggest an hdd.

I have a hardisk on which I install the games and I have an SD card on which I have all the hombrew launcher apps. I wanted to insert the "install" folder on a separate usb stick with the game to be installed inside

a current gen i5 is plenty, next is RAM size, and then GPU depending on the kinda setting and game you play

    @K3Nv2 why the G-series?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
On board graphics it'll just be a ps3 emu machine
  • ZeroT21 @ ZeroT21:
easier to troubleshoot? or gpu comes later?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Won't need a GPU with G series for emulation
    +1

I won't upgrade untill the day comes I can't play the games with my current hardware or something breaks
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It's equivalent to a gt 560 which should be enough for ps3

    I won't need to hack a 360 @BigOnYa :tpi:
  • ZeroT21 @ ZeroT21:
well, if you get a gud enuf PSU, you could futureproof it incase you actually need the gpu down the line

very gud case, but make sure you have the kinda PSU with very flexible cables
  • ZeroT21 @ ZeroT21:
i know people with this exact case
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Nah hog tie the cables
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'd like one with support for a couple 3.5" bays though
  • ZeroT21 @ ZeroT21:
not that, some psu like those corsair rm series stock cables have very big knicks that make it impossible to fit in there
  • ZeroT21 @ ZeroT21:
my friend had to order some custom cables for it

Just buy another 650 watt power supply, and Raid them

well, it's not a showpiece, but it'll get the job done
