In my INSTALL folder for my games I got off of my Wii U USB loader, i'm currently trying to get my WUP installer to install my games. For some reason, when I choose any of the folders in there, it says "Install Failed" and I need a complete "WUP" to install it. Someone please help me, I just got homebrew yesterday on my Wii U and I don't know what's going wrong. Thanks!

First, if there are special characters in the filenames, the installation is going to fail. Second, as a matter of troubleshooting, try WUP Installer GX2 instead. Third, if the game isn't one that was released as a disc (i.e. it's eShop-only), you need to be running CFW for the game to install properly.

I'm using WUP Installer GX2, and does that mean I need to get Mocha CFW installed for that?
If you're installing a game that wasn't released as a disc, then yes, you need Mocha or Haxchi to install and play the game. What are you trying to install?

The following titles on your list require CFW of some kind to be able to install and play them:
  • Nintendont
  • Mario Kart 8 DLC (if installed without using this method)
  • Animal Crossing: City Folk
  • Animal Crossing: Wild World
  • Pokepark Wii
  • Pikachu's Adventure
  • Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2
  • Majora's Mask
  • Phantom Hourglass
  • Skyward Sword
  • Spirit Tracks
  • Yoshi's Island DS
In addition to having to run Mocha, Haxchi, or CBHC when you install these titles, you also have to run Mocha, Haxchi, or CBHC each time you want to play them.

I've been running into this same issue. In my case, I know what game is causing it, reproducibly!

Trying to rip the Super Smash Bros disc, it consistently fails after reading a bit over 2GB. After a failed install from this, I tried downloading and installing it with nusspli, which "succeeded", but not really. All installs after that point failed. Looking at the USB usage in settings, it showed Super Smash Bros was taking 0KB, clearly bogus, and it wasn't able to delete it. The Wii couldn't even reformat the card, it instead needed to be re-formatted in the PC first.

This is now also reproducible downloading Super Smash Bros either with WiiUDownloader or with Nusplii - any attempt to install that specific game corrupts the USB card.
