Misc Wrong Wifi adaptor

My Wifi on my DS isn't working, but I looked online and it said it was because i had the wrong adaptor or something. It doesn't work for things like mario kart but it works on my wii (and obviously my computer). it will say i'm connected except when I run a test it will fail. Are there any homebrew apps or internet browsers on the DS that will work with my Wifi?
