Uhm. I think it's not for dumping 3DS roms. Only for (old) DS roms and 3DS SAVE games.

Anyone care to enlighten me?

yes but no one has tested the software with 3ds games? whether it is a fake or not

well i cant find these Jap dumps so cant confirm

the LGC ones seemed legit from the encrypted part of the 3DS rom i could find seemed legit

if i can get a jap one i will compare to see if they are similar build

it says bad header because its different to DS which is what it knows

Legacy group has released three 3DS dump that are supposed to be proper according thier nfo.
People who own this SMS2 should try to dump the same games and hexcmp them with lgc release.
This will be definitively a proof that the product can produce proper dump.

For now all i can see is a 3DS save dumper tool ...

the final version NEO 3DS SMS2 Backup Master V1.21 released

History:
* Support the 3DS 4M eeprom chip

you guys know that the eeprom is just used for saves not for game data!?

Or is the "History" misleading to an older Version, where it could just make backups of saves?

Edit
Again a Quote from NeoFlash Forum
QUOTEManaged to backup

Sengoku Musou Chronicles : 25L4001(EEPROM:4Mbit)
One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP : 25L1002(EEPROM:1Mbit)

this looks clearly like it can just backup save files, thats it.

well, so instead of dumping a game they show off how to dump a save?
Nah, where in the NeoFlash Thread could you find anyone dumping a game? I read everywhere eeprom.

Well, I can't wait for region free games! Hopefully one day well be able to play Taiko Drums 3DS and other Jap ONLY releases in the future..stupid region lock..what were they thinking?!

We can't dump 3DS games for now.

SMS2 and this tool can dump only gamesaves!

You get a "Bad header" message when trying to dump 3ds games!

that cant be keylogger cuz it says "The NEO Flash team has created software to allow SMS2 (and soon SMS4) to dump 3DS ROMs, saves, and reupload the saves to the 3DS cart"

now at least the scene will become wider with more games to test on and use their keys

they say this on Gbatemp, but not in the neoflash forum, sorry!

Thanks for the info. So, you tried to click the Dump Game button even if this error is displayed ?

AFAIK the SMS2 is able to dump DS games at an incredibly slow speed. So wait a little to see if something is written on the hard drive.

I'm skeptical on the entire thing. One of the members who's saying that he has dumped 3DS's "roms" on the Neoflash's forums has a blog in Japanese and has posted about it.

From an excerpt, I get this with Google Translate:
ROM dumps are not any, to recognize the header If you are unsuccessful "Bad Header.Try reinserting card." And I get.[/p]
So it seems it doesn't dump ROMs, and the subsequent text also only talks about savegames.

I find it quite amusing that everyone is saying how great this is, even though it is coming from a company that most people apparently hate

.
Only the old members remember what Neoflash did back in the day. Most of the users who came here started with an R4, so they don't have the faintest idea of what "Team NeoCa$h" is

EDIT: Got Ninja'd by br0br0 while I was writing the rest of the post

I was right all the time, its not possible

But you know guys, if you read just more than one second the NeoFlash thread, you would see, that they are talking about game saves (eeproms), nothing more.

Maybe the title of this thread should be modified and the front news also.
This product only dump 3DS saves for now.

A least its a step forward. I don't think that a dumping tool would be released to the public this early.
Maybe in the future then.
