Hacking wow. wii modding is hard...

yay. first of all, thanks for the help. you haters gave me motivation. after two days of struggle i finally got my wii modded!!! even fixed the upside down bug. heh.

i updated to 4.2u through Nintendo. bad move cause i didn't know it'd wipe my homebrew channel and bootmii in boot2! i thought i'm done. then i came across this url. http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-154/up...the_fix-812461/
followed exactly soramy's instructions. fixed the hackmii problem. next.

after installing the homebrew channel, dvdx, and bootmii. i backed up the nand.

then i followed the A-C sections from http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-g...stem-menus.html
To my surprise, no problems at all during each step.

i've only tested new super mario bros. in usbloader gx. so far so good. still couldn't boot from DVD.

Configurable USB loader loads disc backups?

If you are going for disc based loading backup your nand at this point since your happy with it then install CIOSCORP 3.6, nearly alll games will load straight through disc channel. New super mario bros will need patching with VIKS patch to run through disc channel but it does work. See the NSMB thread first page for all details on how to make it work. If you dont like the CORP you can always restore your nand and continue to use USBLOADER GX
