Hey guys, I was wondering if any of the coders/h4xx0rz here would be able to port WiiSaber over to the Wii.
I don't really know how to do stuff like this but it seems like it would be easy for some of the people here to do.

It started as "MacSaber", and it worked for Macs that had motion sensors

But then later they made WiiSaber, which is basically the same thing except you use a Wii Remote.

For anyone too lazy to click the link, I basically want a homebrew app that makes the remote make Lightsaber noises when I swing it around.

Would this be possible?

It is possible, and shouldnt be that difficult really.
I am looking into getting started writing homebrew - but with some basic knowledge of c++ you should be able to do it yourself.
All you would need is to read the value of the accelerometers inside to know when the wiimote has moved quickly and play a lightsaber sound.

Crude but effective.

It might be worth looking up tutorials etc on programming for the wii.... its fun having a lightsaber, but its more fun knowing you wrote it.
