EDIT: Edited poll to "meet high standards"... bleh...

A question: In swedish, the word for Gaming and Gambling is the same... Is that the case here as well?
Gambling addiction is really bad... but so is smoking! I don't mind if people smoke, but it's much more unhealthy than gaming, and is far more wide spread! there are a few gaming addiction cases that's actually serious business, wihle there are more smoking addictions that's bad or worse...

I voted for FACEBOOK!
I mean, an addiction to facebook and other online stuff games and shit will mean that you probably pay for the in game cash and shit... and that's bad silly and right out weird! Smoking, while it's unhealthy isn't that much of a problem somehow.. though it's really expencive... but it's a choice and sometimes not even that! so it's all hard to say... I went with online shit because of so many people who's actually addicted to it... loosing their job, doesn't take care of children, etc. etc. because of a fucking fish tank on facebook??

EDIT: smoking doesn't take up your time in that way...

Marijuana is harmless
Yup...Yup....Yup..(pun intended).

QUOTEEffects on the Lungs

Someone who smokes marijuana regularly may have many of the same respiratory problems as tobacco smokers. These individuals may have daily cough and phlegm, symptoms of chronic bronchitis, and more frequent chest colds. Continuing to smoke marijuana can lead to abnormal functioning of lung tissue injured or destroyed by marijuana smoke.

Regardless of the THC content, the amount of tar inhaled by marijuana smokers and the level of carbon monoxide absorbed are three to five times greater than among tobacco smokers. This may be due to the marijuana users' inhaling more deeply and holding the smoke in the lungs and because marijuana smoke is unfiltered.

Effects on Heart Rate and Blood Pressure

Recent findings indicate that smoking marijuana while shooting up cocaine has the potential to cause severe increases in heart rate and blood pressure. In one study, experienced marijuana and cocaine users were given marijuana alone, cocaine alone, and then a combination of both. Each drug alone produced cardiovascular effects; when they were combined, the effects were greater and lasted longer. The heart rate of the subjects in the study increased 29 beats per minute with marijuana alone and 32 beats per minute with cocaine alone. When the drugs were given together, the heart rate increased by 49 beats per minute, and the increased rate persisted for a longer time. The drugs were given with the subjects sitting quietly. In normal circumstances, an individual may smoke marijuana and inject cocaine and then do something physically stressful that may significantly increase the risk of overloading the cardiovascular system.

Effects of Heavy Marijuana Use on Learning and Social Behavior

A study of college students has shown that critical skills related to attention, memory, and learning are impaired among people who use marijuana heavily, even after discontinuing its use for at least 24 hours. Researchers compared 65 "heavy users," who had smoked marijuana a median of 29 of the past 30 days, and 64 "light users," who had smoked a median of 1 of the past 30 days. After a closely monitored 19- to 24-hour period of abstinence from marijuana and other illicit drugs and alcohol, the undergraduates were given several standard tests measuring aspects of attention, memory, and learning. Compared to the light users, heavy marijuana users made more errors and had more difficulty sustaining attention, shifting attention to meet the demands of changes in the environment, and in registering, processing, and using information. These findings suggest that the greater impairment among heavy users is likely due to an alteration of brain activity produced by marijuana.

From some 'Harvard University Study'. It didn't harm anyone. Or so they say.

1. you have to compare the amount that pot smokers smoke compared to tobacco smokers...i dont smoke pot anymore as i was in the prestages of marijuana induced schizophrenia, but, when i did smoke pot and when my friends smoke pot they only blaze maybe...a total of 4-8 times a month? as compared to tobacco smokers who tend to smoke very often.
and also, if pot gets legallized, vapourizers will become cheap, and every stoner will be in a tar-free heaven.

2. simply put: you can't compare a typical pothead to someone who smokes pot and does cocaine.

i'm not going to bother with that last paragraph, as i'm aware of how true it is haha

that just needed to be said, lol. i dont deny pot being addictive though, at least on the mental level.

ANYWAYS, to the topic at hand, I think I'll say the internet is by FAR more addicting. Why? Many people use the internet for countless hours day and wouldn't even think to call it an addiction.

Internet porn, it will destroy your life from the inside out may not kill you but if you can't control your urges say goodbye to your money and marriage because divorce attorneys and marriage counselors will find out quicker than a heart attack.

Smoking for sure,it kills and its actually addicting because nicotine, when it comes to other stuff you can be a person with a non addictive personality so you could game or party in moderation.
