You have to keep trying. It took me almost three hours to get that sysupdater working. Read that thread and ask your questions there. This topic is only for MHX :)
i know that but it is related because i am trying to downgrade to get to the patch

  • N3DS downgraded
  • Savefile transferred from o3DS to N3DS.
  • I'll wait for v9 to get this awesomeness begin! :D Thanks to you and the community for all the efforts.

V8 already works on the N3ds, doesn't it?

Just wondering, is the translation for the "Koi" fish alright? It´s a bit strage that you need to catch it with the goldenfish bait.

Looks golden to me :D

Just because it's called goldenfish bait doesn't mean it's for goldenfish. (MH logic duh)
Goldenfish is 黄金魚.
What we called Koi is 錦魚.
And before you ask if "Goldenfish Bait" then is incorrect. No it's not:
黄金ダンゴ <- Goldenfish Bait. (litterally Golden Bait, but Goldenfish bait is the official translation)
Also saw some anon on /mhg/ calling me a moron for using the official translation. lol
Would appreciate a little bit more constructive feedback, instead of questioning translation choices.
We use official translations whenever possible and try to get as close as possible to the meaning when we have to translate ourselves. Sometimes we take our freedom a little bit to translate things. So bear with us. If you have a better translation for something or want to join the team drop me a pm.

For more wonderings you can just drop an error report, if we fix it we agree, if we don't fix it we disagree ;)

v9 will come around 23:00 UTC

Nah, the translation is perfect so far (for what i´ve seen so far) It was just a bit strange for me to catch a Koi with that bait. c;

Thanks for all the work to get us this!

Could I ask for some off-topic assistance?

I recently dowgraded my o3ds (now with cakes since it is what was recommended to me) and installed the game, but when I try to boot it it gives me a "An error has occurred, power off, contact Nintendo etc". I tried a pre-patched room, patching it myself, tried even without the patch (hence the off-topic) but it still won't work. As far as I can tell, every other game works fine (including recently released games).

Is there anything I can do?

Does other out-of-region games work for you?

Now that you mention it...I should read those descriptions more often. c;
And btw. thanks for your Twitter post, never tought that Athena´s ASS was already released for MHX. c;
Gonna build myself a nice low rank set now. *~*

About online shoutouts:
The english translated ones were reverted to japanese. But sadly they got burnt into your savegame. I will post a program which will fix your savegame up for that. Due to the potential savegame loss we will create a video tutorial for that.

We now have 34.444 translated lines in v9 (v8 had 32.351).

Thanks for the hard work Dasding, it is still great to see those accomplishments. You said you have now 34 444 lines translated, on how many on total (if you know the exact count) ?

I have the following setup:
9.2 N3DS
sysNAND: menuhax ->CtrBootManager->rxTools (emuNAND)
emuNAND: FBI, BootNTR, MHX

i use NTR method so i just had to install vanilla cias once with FBI. Now i just boot my n3ds into emuNAND->BootNTR->MHX.
when i do a new patch i just have to replace the mhx folder.

NTR only works with emunand 9.2? So when I update the emunand to 9.5 I can only use prepatched cia?
Edit: It works in 9.5 rxtools!
Cartridge and installed game use the same save data. After downgrading to 9.2 now I have my cartridge savegame, 1.1 mhx patch and the english patch! Thanks so much for the hard work dasding!

excluding the lines we don't plan to translate (flavor text, npc dialogs, full screen help pages, etc.) there are around 43.000 lines
