Probably because this is solid information from reliable sources, that has an extremely good chance of going somewhere in the right hands. As opposed to some pie in the sky suppositions from an unknown without anything approaching a PoC. It's likely only a matter of time until we see progress from this, given it may take a few months.

well why are people so hyped well it may make emulators run better but they still might not be full speed besides that its only use ful if you want to dump and play 3ds games as cias or pirate if you like to do that

Entirely up to you, I'd say it's probably smarter to stay on the FW you're on given that SNSHax will only work up to 10.1 & it's better to keep your options open as much as possible. However this sounds promising, but unless your desperate i'd say no.

Yes, this is a confirmed new kernel exploit for 10.3 and below. It exists, now just somebody needs to write code to actually use the exploit.

This is a kernel exploit, not an userland exploit. It can be exploited through userland (any homebrew entrypoint).

Cool. I wonder how much of this would have been public if it wasn't for that one guy who ripped rxTools a new ***hole by releasing a sigcheck patched version a while ago. (I know who the guy is, but I don't recall how to spell his name and my internet is too garbo right now for me to look it up. So I won't butcher the spelling. )

Yeah that was ahp_person wasn't it. That was a good day for us but ultimately led to roxas leaving the scene but he thankfully handed over all his project.

Anyway, as I understand it this will allow people to downgrade their systems. Will we need a backed up firmware version to downgrade, or will a stock OFW not tied to any one console work?

Yes, you can ever replace files in the cia and I think there is a way to run custom files off the sd card

You wouldn't need a back up of your own prior firmware no, this would just require the generic OFW files.

Hans will remain the same but with Kernel there is no need for Hans You can run mods with Kernel Exploit WITHOUT packing a romfs file or the whole File System

Question for you guys, I've got a 9.9 n3DS and I'll have my Sky3DS+ soon. Obviously, I'm interested in homebrew (I had a 9.2 o3DS), I've got Ironhax, Menuhax, OOThax. Should I keep my n3DS in 9.9 or update it in 10.3 to update games?

I saw people talking about an exploit that was patched in 10.2, that is why I'm asking you!
