Try replacing the map script for that one (C016.cmb). If that doesn't work, try the dispo file (GameData/Dispos/C016.bin). Those changes will mess up recruitment (you'll likely end up with two of certain characters), but you will be able to progress through the chapter.I've tried absolutely everything, and chapter 16 still isn't working :\

As a quick note to everyone, I am working on a fix for the crashes on certain maps. Most of these are tied to issues with the system used for rebuilding scripts, which was still a work in progress when Beta 4 came out. I cannot guarantee that the system used on the next version will fix everything, but it should perform better than the current one. At the least, I will ensure that the crashes reported on this version are not carried on to the next one.
At this point I'm not really sure what the issue would be. You could try replacing the person file under GameData/Person/C016.bin, but that's the only other file that the randomizer modifies that could cause issues.I've tried that, and it's still not working. What should I do?
I don't know what it is. I'll just beat it without the randomizer on, I guess. At this point I'm not really sure what the issue would be. You could try replacing the person file under GameData/Person/C016.bin, but that's the only other file that the randomizer modifies that could cause issues.
Are you sure you properly decompressed everything with FEAT? I know its a dumb question but I've had the same issues that you have and it was because I forget to decompress and/or recompress the files.Been trying for ages to make the randomizer read my files, not understanding what I'm doing wrong. It just shows a .txt file in the folder of the 4 folders and nothing else happens, no window or anything. WTF
I used decrypt9 and ran it, got the file, extracted the romfs according to that guide thats somewhere earlier in 1 of my posts. Then I got the files and worked them into the order that this page says I have to. After that i ran feat on them, it gave me copies of most of the files in a .bin and a txt extension and the .bin.lz files are still there. I run the randomizer on this and nothing happend. SO currently, I have 2 folders. Both have been decompressed and the @U is renamed to @E, 1 of them is the one i got directly from decompressing, the other one i removed all extra files that weren't a .bin extension. If you want to I can provide a screenshot (Tomorrow however, im going to bed very soon so If you have a response make it not dependat on me since I'll have to leave. THanks a bunch for doing this)Are you sure you properly decompressed everything with FEAT? Marth's recruitment chapter crashes for me. I'm running everything randomized on Birthright except the Same-Sex option is turned off, and I'm using UnassumingVenasaur's Gay Fates hack for more support options. The other recruitment chapters seem to work fine, but this one doesn't.
First of all, don't know if decrypt9 works because I use HANS and braindump, but that shouldn't matter. What version of FEAT are you using? Because it sounds like a problem with that. In addition, try using it on the folder with just the .bin files if you haven't already, because that folder would be the correct result of FEAT.I used decrypt9 and ran it, got the file, extracted the romfs according to that guide thats somewhere earlier in 1 of my posts. I used a cartridge.Homebrew doesn't handle digital copies of newer games like Fire Emblem Fates well. That might explain why you had issues getting braindump to work.
So first of all in which of the five languages do you wanna play? So, me and a friend are trying the get this hack, but both of us have run into some problems.
I managed to get the hack working, but for some reason the character portraits weren't replaced. I tried to fix it, but ended up deleting all text in the game somehow. I've started again and I probably wont need help on that last problem. For some reason, the Randomiser made me rename most of the files with the name "A0XX" to "C0XX" and all folders named @U to @E. I'm in Europe btw, and using the Birthright cartridge.
My friend's problem is that FEAT won't let her decompress her files:View attachment 75107
She's moved the files off her SD card and it still won't work. She's in NA and using Special Edition.
Any help would be appreciated!
In the .zip you are supposed to download in the download section where it says Download: link in the first post. :/ However, the .jar file has since been renamed.I feel stupid just for asking this, but where is Fates-Randomizer.jar?
I already downloaded the .zip in the download section of the first post, but I don't see it in there. I have my dump and everything else ready, I just can't find it. What was it renamed to?In the .zip you are supposed to download in the download section where it says Download: link in the first post. :/
It's there. I literally just redownloaded it. :/ Check again. It was renamed to Fates Randomizer Beta 4.jar.I already downloaded the .zip in the download section of the first post, but I don't see it in there. I have my dump and everything else ready, I just can't find it. What was it renamed to?

With the way child randomization is handled currently I don't think that I could move characters between first and second generation. However, it should be possible at some point, so I'll keep it in mind for when the tool's a bit more developed.Crashed on Selkie's prologue.
I've actually managed to get pretty far in revelation this time through, just finished up chapter 16.
Also I had a thought, you know how you have the randomize children option? What about an option that randomizes both generations at once so some of the first generation could become children and some of the second generation parents. Of course it could make it more difficult to get every character.
Also it'd be nice if Ryouma, Xander, Leo, and Takumi still had their unique weapons though not necessary. Maybe the amiibos could have their weapons too.
Speaking of weapons, do characters with higher weapon levels have better odds of getting higher grade weapons? I've found myself with a lot of raider katanas and embers as well as several joke weapons on characters with C rank. I don't think I've seen anyone spawn with a killer or steel though.
It sounds like you dumped the wrong thing to be honest - I don't recognize any of those folder names.Whenever I dump the rom, there's no gmae.data.bin.iz or castle files in there.
