Hm.... So I guess I can't fix that.... Essentially crashes at the Nohrian siblings entrance. Going to try with a different romfs to see if I can reproduce the issue with a slightly different setting.

Crashes like that won't really vary across configurations - there more a result of the systems used for randomization not working in 100% of situations on the current build than anything else.

I see. Nonetheless I'll try it out again and see if it occurs. 5:51

I'm really just experimenting with compatibility right now tbh. (Using US Special Edition on cartridge and other region versions)

What does the CY02.bin.lz in GameData/Person do?
B/C I just realized FEAT doesn't decompress it.

EDIT: Just realized that this question was already answered. Whoops!

Okay so here's some information regarding the hooded guy that appears randomly.

I'm not sure how it relates code wise but Ryoma = Odin in chapter 2 since he doesn't appear at all for me. Only thing off is odin replacing ryoma's supposed sprite.

EDIT: Guess it wasn't clear reading it again.

Essentially Leo (main guy who becomes the hooded figure) was Odin instead of Ryoma.

When randomising the rom, the bar is stuck and won't move, it's been about 35 minutes.

Try running the randomizer from the command line. When the bar appears to stop, check the command prompt and see if an error shows up. If so, post it and I'll see what I can do about fixing it.

OK, so, I'm still having crashing issues. I've removed all the C016 files and replaced them, and it still crashes when the chapter starts. What the hell? :\

I followed everything to point in the guide, but something went weird. During the cia extraction process to get the romfs, i cant find where the romfs are supposed to appear or a folder where it is. Its just on my laptop, i run the 3ds software editing thing, follow the guide but i cant find the romfs after the extraction is done (and the extraction takes 1 seconds so im not sure if it even extracted at all)

Alright, I got the files decompressed with FEAT, but the randomizer wont work on the folder. I checked it and there are 2 copies of each files, with different extensions, do i remove 1 and keep the other?

After I fixed it so that there was only 1 copy of each file i tried running the randomizer, nothing happend.

I ran feat on the rom i got from decrypt9, then it made a bunch of copies of the filez, so most files have either a .bin or.bin.lz and a wordpad form. Some dont have any copies? When i tried running the randomizer nothing happend, any insights?

I wanted to bring this up:
Braindump wont load up on my 3ds (SysNand: 9.2, EmuNand: 11.2). I go into Homebrew then choose braindump and choose the game I want to dump and just get the yellow screen. Luckily I had a second 3ds (FW: 11.1) with wich I dumped the game. So is it a Problem with braindumps compatibility?

Homebrew doesn't handle digital copies of newer games like Fire Emblem Fates well. That might explain why you had issues getting braindump to work.

What exactly happened when you ran the randomizer? Did no window open when you ran the program?

No. It shows the file selected (although not the folder, it showed a file in it even though I picked the folder) and thats it. It still said open and verify and none of the options displayed in the screenshots were shown. I suspect the randomizer didnt like the files, but I followed the guide with the placements.

If the randomizer said that files verified successfully yet no window showed up, then you need to update your version of Java since the options window uses some stuff from Java's more recent versions. If the window just showed a file path, then the randomizer failed to find that file during verification.

It just showed a file path, which means it failed to find that file. Question, which file is "that" file? Also, anything i might be doing wrong? I can link a screenshot of my folder im targeting or I'd be grateful if i saw a folder that the randomizer works on. (Im getting romfs via decrypt9 from a EU copy of birthright)

What file did it show in the file path? The file path shows you where the randomizer expected to find something but could not. If it's a text file, you probably need to go through and rename the folders in the m folder for your language from whatever they currently are to @E. For English that means going through the m folder as well as the path folder for your game (for Birthright that would be m/A) and renaming the @U folder to @E.

For the one with all files after FEAT got finished, it targets the /m/@E/Join.txt and for the other one with extra .bin.lz or text files it targets the same, m/@E/Join.txt

I tried renaming the file in the m/A that was called @U, I remaned it to @E but nothing happend
