What custom firmware are you using and did you properly use the header generator?

I am using reiNAND on a 9.0.0-20U n3DS running an emuNAND creatrd by GW. As far as I can tell I used it correctly, selected the rom and enabled the RTC. Is the RTC the problem?

I did check the hash of the ROM.

If you are using reiNAND, you can hold B and press start to boot into sysNAND. Just a tip.

Scroll down a bit and you'll see a guy got emerald running... You must be doing something wrong, try just loading it into the footer generator, don't change any of the settings and export the footer, this worked perfectly for me for mother 3 and metroid fusion

you can install legit CIAs, which MSET is you can't install unsigned CIAs unless you use a CFW that has signature patches

are you sure that you have the proper MSET version installed?

EDIT: OP updated, n3ds guide has more steps added (it's still incomplete) and a few changes with the spoilers

here's what i did boot into rxtools run fbi press select then install the encrypted no luck tried the decrypted and still no luck although rxtools mset rop work im on v4.3j

None, just install ALBW as a CIA... It's actually pretty easy
