great. now that windows 98 runs, we can update to xp, then to 7, then to 10.
i wonder how metro apps will work? a shame, i read sleeping dogs has some problems with windows 10. so i guess we should only update to 7.
(joking)
Playing games like doom, tomb raider, sim city, diablo etc. For me that is a BIG point ^^
sure ok, windows might run, but you really thinks the games will run (well)?
maybe i'm wrong, but i assume it won't be fun at all.

Yeah, I understand that now. It would be better to boot those games from dosbox, I guess....

Now this is something I could be into. Question though, what is this limited to? I doubt it has all the capabilities

Windows 3.11 actually works pretty well. Installed an MCGA driver and set the resolution to 320x200. Clearly not a resolution that some dialogs were optimized for - but at least the text is now clean, crisp and legible.

"Open settings by pressing bottom screen, press b, go to settings, input, input user 1 binds. Change User 1 device type to Joystick (4axis/4buttons + kbd arrows)"

I do all that but when I get to that step, I don't have the option for joystick? Just Retropad, RetroPad w/ Analog, and None?

Please help.

Me too

I am confused, I want to run windows 3.1 and I created a folder called "windows" and put it in the RETOARCH_3ds folder, but it says "illegal command win" HELP!

If it's games you want then it makes a lot more sense to run them directly from DOSBox instead of Windows.

The method is exactly the same, take the folder of an installed game (install it on DOSBox on PC) and make a .bat file with the commands you would use to launch it. The mouse IS supported on c-stick, but the Y axis is inverted, or it was the last time I tried hopefully it's been fixed in a recent version.

I've been playing Lemmings and it runs great.

Judging from the list of games it doesn't look like you can play Age of Empires on DOSBox. (Which is what I would want this for personally, unless I'm mistaken.)
