Will MISSINGNO. permanently mess up my game?

I recently bought a copy of pokemon red and I am wondering, if I meet MISSINGNO. (and hall of fame messes up) will hall of fame still be messed up even if I start a new game?

I'm pretty sure if you start a new game you will be fine. In the same game, things might get messed up like pokemon list and item inventory.

Don't worry if you start a new game everything will be ok, also you can continue your game with the hall of fame messed up without problems (i still have the same game save after 6 years and nothing happens) if you capture missingno and leave it on your party or PC then you are going to have a lot of problems with that, but if you evlolve missingno to a kangaskhan or clone items nothing bad happens, just not capture it and keep it

The same goes for the glitch city do not save there, that are the 2 only ways to damage your cartridge that i know (and the "Don't turn off the power while saving" of course)

Be warned tho.
I had the game a long time ago, and used it to clone my items.

But, I also cought one. Which totally messed up my game. Even when I started a new game..
For example, one thing I remember, is that some pokémon sprites got mirrored.
