Looks like my allocated medical-leave time will be running out before the doctors can release me to return to work, so gonna have to salute and bow out. Nine years, and I've grown quite fond of most of my co-workers. Good money, security, the works -- vested. But I'd rather leave with a chance of someday being able to return at least part-time than to let the time lapse and get let go.
