Hacking Will arm9 ever work without a SDcard?

I really want to install arm9 on my n3ds but this is the only thing holding me back. Does anyone know if a solution is being worked on?

If you can get a way to have a arm9loaderhax.bin somewhere besides the SD card, then sure. Other than that, no.

I don't know if it is possible. arm9 can only boot CFW as it is anyway, so you need the SD card in regardless.

Why would you even take the SD card out. You can't play all the games you've downloaded then.

If you don't have a backup that's your fault.

Besides there are no console specific files on the SD card besides the Nintendo 3DS folder.

According to what I read, they said firm0 and firm1 are corrupted (but the hash is OK for firm1) in order to launch the exploit, to read the arm9loaderhax.bin file. So, it's impossible to boot the sysnand without sd card.

It was partially being worked on, but last time I checked the idea was scrapped. Since it wasn't worth the time and effort.

Besides, not like you wouldn't use an SD card even if you were on menuhax. As you wouldn't be able to boot up into your emuNAND

You mean the bin file? Yup, that is possible. But the exploit won't be able to load it from there.

I don't know... @dark_samus3 is hard at work for an A9LH recovery, though, so this will be reality soon I guess.

I just use AuReiNand, holding A at boot going to Decrypt9 and I have all the keys, so I'm all set. I deleted emuNAND from my 64gb sdcard xDD

If you have a quality brand sd card, the chances of getting corruption is most likely pretty low, I use all Samsung and SanDisk and have never had a single card go wrong out of 20 or so of them.

Interesting question. I wonder if it wouldn't be possible to flash the payload somewhere in the nand. That way, no need of a sd card to boot.

Yes, the ARM9 CPU works without the SD card ;-)
