NTR streaming is a good proof of concept, but the Wi-Fi chip is just a tad underpowered to really pull it off well. So I also recommend a capture card. Hell, if I knew how to make one, I would make a solderless version that just clips in between the top screen's ribbon.

You'd be better off finding a Katsukitty capture card for your 3DS.
Loopy sells ones that are much much easier to use and install imo

Mostly because the flex cables are actually cut properly

Katsukity on the other hand you’re spending a ton of money on a super fragile flex board that you still need to manually cut apart without much room for error

The Wifi card can upload and download at 12000kbps each.

I feel like you selectively chose that unit of measurement because the extra 0s make it seem much larger than it actually is

That’s barely 12 mbps. Thats not much to work with
I uploaded a file from my 3DS to an external device through wifi and the 3DS uploaded an average of 1 Megybyte per second and had a quick spike of 1.5 Megabytes per second so it has the wifi capacity of streaming video.

Get a capture card if you want smoother capturing, wifi streaming just going to lag regardless if your network is near your computer and your 3DS.
To just help illustrate the point. The 3ds just can’t handle anything intensive when it comes to network tasks

When I had my successful Twitch plays channel I tried porting my bot to 3ds using input redirection and it would work great up until multiple people tried to send commands

No matter what I did the 3ds just wasn’t fast enough

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
