Hacking WiiXplorer Questions - Vwii - What Verison? Missing Files?

Folks thanks for everything, this community rocks. I hope to pay back what I have learned in time. This morning I am trying to install WiiXplorer.

In looking at the official site there are a TON of beta releases, what version is everyone running?

Secondly and this may sound stupid what do I do with the Rxxx.DOL file. I was thinking rename it boot.dol and drop it in a folder named wiixplorer. If that is the case where do I find the meta and icon files typically included in a package. If anyone could shed some light on the version they are successfully running and details on building my APPS folder please do.

I use r212 on that page and it covers all my needs. I wouldn't trust beta software for devices that can easily corrupt your SD card or USB drive, and the author specifically states they're for testing purposes.

Thanks for the info, can you offer any additional information on how to install it. Where the missing files are? Is it just a matter of renaming this file boot.dol ? Please explain ..

Just make a folder in your apps folder named "WiiExplorer", insert the dol in it and name it boot.dol. I'm not sure why the author didn't provide the icon and meta files but if you're not a neat freak they aren't needed for it. You can get the icon here. Be sure to name it icon.png and put it with the boot.dol file.

hey nemesis, have you actuall gotten wiixplorer to work properly in vwii? for me it cannot recognize the SD or USB, only the nand. ive yet to have anyone verify that it does work properly in vwii mode. thanks!
