so, i had a wii u for almost 2 years and i actually don't experience this and i hope not, but just in case, im wondering what if my sdcard that i used to store homebrew files corrupted or even the sdcard lost and i dont have backup files of it?, do i need the backup of the files from previous sdcard to use a new sdcard? or can i just use the new sdcard and download again the homebrew files? I'm just afraid of accidentally bricking my wii u if I try without knowing the outcome

Back it up is always a good idea. But if you need to replace the card or the current one dies, re-download the files and place them on the new card will work as well.

Just don't do it then. I read here many weird stories about people installing something just for fun or to see what happens if you delete some important wii u system stuff via FTPiiu. Just stick to the approved methods and the tutorials found here. Also if you want to install games: only on the usb drive. Leave the nand alone. Then you should be fine. Until your wii u dies the normal nintendo way
