Yes, I know PC will always look better than consoles. That was my argument. I want Nintendo's systems to DIE so they STOP releasing their games EXCLUSIVELY for underpowered CONSOLES. Nintendo's systems don't bring anything to the table that couldn't be accomplished on the other platforms and PC. Nintendo's systems hold back Nintendo's games.

The Lego comparison was meant to show how the latest title in the LEGO franchise has had to be DEGRADED from the previous release because Lego City Undercover was released EXCLUSIVELY for Wii U. You cannot deny that going from a multiplatform game like Lego Lord of the Rings to an exclusive release like Lego City Undercover has forced TT Games to downgrade the graphical fidelity of the engine in order to accomodate the Wii U's underpowered hardware, and that's a bad thing.

The existence of the Wii U has resulted in this game forever being locked to underpowered hardware and it will only be able to be played in this downgraded state for years to come unless they renege on the exclusivity and port it to other systems like all the prior games in the Lego series. My entire point is that the more games that are exclusive to the Wii U, the worse off we will all be.

The other Wii U exclusives I have played like New Super Mario Bros. U and ZombiU are both flawed just like Lego City Undercover. NSMBU runs at 720p which is pathetic for such a game and ZombiU *may* be running at native 1080p but having played through it I can tell you it's hard to tell because the textures are so awful.

Also, if you think you need a bigger screen than 70" to see the benefits of 4K then you need your eyes checked.

So basically according to xizer, if the video game industry doesn't cater exclusively to him they're bad? That seems a bit self centered to me. Nintendo makes fine consoles and games because they have a track record of releasing games and consoles that people want to play, it's as simple as that. The video game industry is about entertainment of the masses, not everyone thinks that graphics and power are all that make games games. Now if nintendo started releasing things that were harmful to the entertainment of the general public, I might take your side, but they obviously don't do this because 1) It's not profitable and 2) Hurts the company's reputation.

Granted, at the moment, the Wii U isn't delivering so well in this regard, but it's also still fairly early in the consoles life and this year's E3 should be a good indicator of the direction that nintendo is going to take with the console. Also, if you go back a bit when the 3DS was released, it didn't do so well during it's first year but now it's easily overtaken the more powerful PS Vita so power isn't necessarily everything. The Video Game industry is about games, it's what makes it or breaks it

All you did in your entire post is complain about graphics and HD capabilities. Graphics are only a part of the gaming experience, and while graphics can be large part of a game's appeal, titles rarely succeed on visual flare alone regardless of platform. a lot of people who prefer console over the PC platform because they don't have the means or know how to upgrade their rigs (Whether that's their video card, motherboard, RAM, or a combination of the three) every six months to get the maximal graphical experience after each major title's release.

Nintendo's philosophy has always been built around creating enjoyable experiences to it's end users through gameplay innovation and accessibility. Making a game look as visually stunning as possible has never been a top priority for the big N, and the hardware of the Gamecube, Wii, and WiiU are direct reflections of this. They don't do open worlds, MMOs, or FPS adventures. They exploit a niche that doesn't require robust hardware specifications. I guarantee if they developed a game exclusively for PC, it could be ported over to the WiiU without stripping or downgrading content. Why? Because they focus on making games fun, simple, and original.

I don't own a single Wii U game that was purchased new. Buying used gives the developer the same amount of money as pirating the game does: $0.

I'm also not hypocritical for buying a PS3 or a Xbox 360. Guess why? Because I don't buy any software on those platforms either.

The PC platform is the only one I will buy software on because it is the only one that deserves my support. I don't want to reward devs for developing on a watered down, proprietary computer.

This is why the news of the Wii U getting hacked is so exciting. There will no longer be a need to pay for software and show developers that you support console garbage as a result!
