big old game update from yours truley D-J-Place!!

well let's start

3xtreme=works fine in game and menu seems to be a little slow did the dycama stander combo... speed was around 50 fps...

activisonclassic=speed like around 50-60 FPS game play is fine with keystone capers there are like 30 games in there and i'm not going test them all...

battle arena toshindo=graphics looked messed up when i started a fight then after 1 sec of the fight the game froze on me it does not work at all so don't bother with it.

boombots=audio messed up but other spped is around 50-60 fps. and the game gracphics are fine

that's all i have for now... stay tune next time for more of my psx reports. for this kick ass emulator.

hey Djplace do you know how to update the wiki? if don't want to do it, ill go though the thread later and add your games.

i don't know how to update the wiki...

so if you don't mind you can do that for me. TY. oh this may be off topic but... if your online now do you want to try DR mario online again i was in bed when you posted the last time. just pm me when your ready.

So I attempted to load Street Fighter Alpha 2, and the game loads perfectly and then it crashes after it displays the FPS information at the top.
The compatibility list said that this game should work fine, but I'm experiencing difficulties with it >.<
Can anyone help me solve my problem?

Technically not reviving the thread, since it's still on the first page and decently active.

2 questions I don't think have been answered yet:

1) How do multiple disc games work on the emulator? Can you just simply restart the emulator after you're done with all the games on the first disc then just load the second disc with all your data? I'm assuming that the games work by it going to a screen that says "Insert Disc Two", where you would originally just pop the cover of your Playstation, insert the second disc, and keep on playing.
2) I tried the Crash Bandicoot Compilation and it didn't work, yet whoever posted says it does. Was yours the one with CTR, Warped, and Crash Bash, or the one I tried which had Crash 1, 2, and 3. I also converted mine from an .img file to .bin/.cue with MagicISO, so that could be the problem.

I dont think disc changing is supported yet, ill look through the svn later. the source is based a little off of pcsx-df, it is supported within their gui by pressing a function key.

as far as the game goes i don't know I didn't test it.

yup the sound is jacked, I'm sure when another official release comes out they will improve it and give us a a option to use NULL Sound, it would probably speed the emulation up too... sometimes I can care less if there is sound, and i'm sure deaf people don't care either.

I am using emupaul's version of WIISX, and I am greatly enjoying it, however with the frame limiter on it runs a bit slow (58.5-59.00 fps). With it on it runs a bit fast (62-80 fps) I was wondering where the coding for the frame limiter is located (which file) so I can toy with the max fps settings to see if I can get them just right for the game I'm playing.

The info would be appreciated.

And special thanks to emupaul and slotman for getting wiisx hacked.

And more thanks to the wiisx/wii64 team for creating such a wonderful thing

Hello and welcome to GBAtemp.net, Gaudior. Why not you use Jacobeian's version of WiiSX? That version won't be slow though. I tested it.

Why not you use Jacobeian's version of WiiSX?

I tried this emulator still has the same issue idles at 58.98-59.00fps. Is the frame limiter set at 59 instead of 60? If so, where are these settings so I can change them?

Before someone points out the obvious, I know there is not GUI to change settings, I'm looking for the file that has the code in it.

there is no need to change this value as this is automatically handled by the emulator framesync, nothing wrong with that, a real ps1 does not even display "exactly" 60 frame per second...

i doubt you will notice any difference between 59 or 60 fps (be sure to use the last version i uploaded, former one had video issues), it's considered as full speed at that rate... also, consider the displayed fps value is a ROUNDED value, the emulator obviously runs a finite number of frames per second...

most games played slow even on the official machine to be honest, Alucard walk slowly in the official SOTN game.

I usually remove the fps limit because I enjoy faster gameplay, 65 fps is the best.

the pcsx revolution guy should update the main core with the newest beta at first.

Does anyone know if it supports the wii mote now because I dont have a gamecube or classic controller.

I have a few retail PS1 games which are buried under a load of stuff, just to save me the hassle of getting them out for nothing is it possible for me to use imgburn to create bin and cue files from original CDs or will my DVD drive not recognise the CDs? I seem to remember they're a funny colour on the other side (or was that PS2 discs..?) so was wondering if it was possible.

Will save me downloading a load of stuff

Thanks in advance.

yeah img burn will work fine. make sure when you choose desestation folder you save as bin, Ultra Iso is a very good too.
don't mind the black surface.

Brilliant, thanks for that, will sort them out in the morning. I hope that Duke Nukem 3D works

Jacobeian's version of Wiisx works really well. How do I get it to load from the USB drive though? I get a code dump when I move 'psxisos' folder from SD to USB. Do I need to format my USB to any special format or anything?

Again, sweet job with the classic implementation Jacobeian

Wait, you can play PSX .isos from a DVD now? How do I do that? And can I have multiple isos on a single DVD?
