yeah img burn will work fine. make sure when you choose desestation folder you save as bin, Ultra Iso is a very good too.
don't mind the black surface.

Wait, you can play PSX .isos from a DVD now? How do I do that? And can I have multiple isos on a single DVD?

You misunderstood the question being asked. No where do I mention you can do this.

Did you install the SCPH-00 whatever bios first? You need it.

Yes, I inserted that file into the folder. Nevermind, it seems that the app isn't compatible with the game anyways.

I see pcsx revolution has been been updated to r34 and contains 'Some audio fixes. Based on new wiiSX plugin'. http://code.google.com/p/pcsx-revolution/source/detail?r=34

I wonder if these audio fixes would work for wiisx too (I guess they might already be implemented though)?

lol... think a little, if it's based on the new WiiSX plugin, why would wiisx would need to implement it again.. off course, it's already there :-)
remember that pCSX revolution is mainly a fork from WiiSX, all the major updates you will see in the future will probably comes from copypasting tehpola's team code updates
I don't deny pcsx revolution coder's effort but he certainly does not have the same talent & knowledge as the wiisx ones
QUOTEJacobeian's version of Wiisx works really well. How do I get it to load from the USB drive though? I get a code dump when I move 'psxisos' folder from SD to USB. Do I need to format my USB to any special format or anything?
glad you appreciate it, but it was really very limited code changes, all thanks should go the wiisx team. I'm pretty impressed by the porting job they have done here (much more complex than any current emulator port, shows how well they masterize the Wii hardware), it's brilliant and I'm sure perfect emulation like we have with 16bits system is possible

about your question, be more precise: when do you exactly get the coredump ?
also, USB need to be formatted in FAT32, like for any other homebrew applications using libfat
and the USB device must be plugged in before the application boots, otherwise it won't be detected

Code dumps are frequent because the lack of error checking coded in this emulator. I have been making changes to the source just haven't released anything yet my version will spit out a error.log and not dump on most common things like checking if the sd is formatted properly, controller issues, bad rom,or missing bios etc.. before moving on to the next step the emulator takes. and when ready to be released feature a gui, unless someone releases one before me, and if i think my code is tight enough ill commit a revision to the wiisx team if allowed since they are dormant now. they prolly wont want my version because its pure enchanments and breaks there semi-strict c coding style. because of libwiigui c++ nature

Tried Duke Nukem 3D and only worked through the interpreter, crashed using the dynarec. Whilst playing through the interpreter there were minor sound issues but graphical issues made the game pretty much unplayable unfortunately.

Will have to wait for some bright spark to port a homebrew version, am surprised that nobody has done it yet, as far as I remember it's open source. Quake and Duke Nukem 3D are my favourite FPS games but I guess 1 out of 2 isn't bad lol.

Have just tried Medievil 1 and with the exception of the usual sound issues and the cutscenes being pink and green it works perfectly. Am really happy as I've wanted to play the Medievil games for years but haven't had the chance until now.

Was just wondering what buttons on the Gamecube correspond to which buttons on the PS1 controller..?

I only played the opening level in the crypt but it was working perfectly apart from the issues I mentioned so am assuming that the rest of the game will work fine.

Have also been wondering which button on the Gamecube controller corresponds to the PS1 Select button..? Have just started to mess around with Silent Hill and can't arm myself, making the survival part of survival horror a bit difficult lol

Great suff, thanks for that mzzmuaa. You can add Alien Trilogy to the working fine list too, cutscenes are green and purple, sound is very scratchy indeed but plays between 30-45fps...very playable. Had to run it through the interpreter though, controls were unresponsive through the dynarec but I might have another go using the different controller option, not too sure what the difference is tbh. Rumble perhaps..?

Just tried the dynarec and standard controller, sound is pretty much perfect but it runs at a ridiculous 80-100fps lol - makes the game more difficult with those quick moving little aliens! Think it was the Analog control option that broke things.

Very impressed with this emulator so far. Brilliant stuff.
