I have a spare Wiinja Deluxe, im half tempted to rip my wiikey out and change it over.

I can confirm this working in new wiinja deluxe update and pal wii. Allso did the metroid trick to avoid duplicated channels.

Damn, I have the Wiinja V2.

I'm trying to way up the options here. Do I scrap it and put in a Deluxe, grab another chip, or can the chip be reprogramed to a Deluxe?

Also, is the wiring for the V2 to Deluxe the same, I had mine installed for me. If it is the same I am confident enough just to desolder and resolder the chip wire connections.

You can't upgrade the firmware of the deluxe on a v2 as they use different hardware. You'll have to buy a Deluxe, but in that case it's not a difficult change to make especially if you have your chip installed in a socket.
