Does each distribution aim to present the very best tracks (preferable), or is there reason to go back and look at earlier distributions?

I know one thing I look forward to, whenever they are finished, is for compilations of full sets of tracks from earlier games, like the Gamecube.
I saw a post where you stated you had intentions of doing this, when all tracks are completed.

There are other good tracks in the older distributions. Each new distribution has the best about 20 tracks of the predecessor (I make a poll for that) and about 10 of the best new tracks. I think testing the old ones is worth it.

Hmm...
Decisions, decisions.

I'm envisioning a future where there will be distributions for game-specific tracks (GCN, N64, etc.) and a custom-only distribution gathering only the very best 32 custom tracks people have made.

Is this more on less in line with your plans down the road?

@siromezm
Yes, "N64 Royal Raceway v1.2" has this texture bug. A question to jpn: You have created the japan version and it worked like the USA version? I ask you because I had never an chance to confirm it. It was only a guess by me that it should work.

@themanuel
I have planned different variants. In this month I will distribute a boost Variant: 32 tracks like "1.2 GBA Luigi Circuit - boost"

How do I change the region?
Options (in the game) -> region change-> send me back to wii.
I can't find a region change in Wii setting.

I know I am missing something little and will feel really silly..
I never played on-line!

Hey, Wimms.

Is there a forum or someplace else where you guys stage competitions or simply match up for playing in friend rooms?
I would like to play with you folks, although I realize time zones will be an issue.

Hi,

This is pretty cool, thanks for the link.

I'm having some slow motion play and lock ups on Ribbon Road. Is this a known fault or something I have done wrong when patching?

Thanks.

All new tracks are made with self programmed tools without Nintendos knowledge and therefor without optimizations. So some new tracks has to many or complicated objects with the result of a slow motion effect especially if playing versus in split screen. Ribbon Road if one of them.

Thanks for Wiimm.

Has anyone manged to get cheats working for this?

I am using wiiflow. I tried to rename the txtcode for Mario Kart but it does not work. When I go to game settings > cheats it tries to download a cheat and fails.

i use cheats to unlock my license and get all tracks / karts / characters.

just simply rename the textcode. both jpn / usa versions work fine.

It's easy (avoid red menu points):
* go online
* select "regional/continental" (second point)
* select "versus region 112" (battle doesn't work)
* wait for other players
The last point is problematic, because there are to less people online. Three german guys have played online sunday at 13:00 - 14:00 UTC and it worked fine.

I enjoyed playing the Original Mario Kart Wii, so I thought I'd try this.

It's a shame that the custom tracks which were imported into the game don't have their original or rearranged music tracks. Obviously... it's not impossible, but there is a different variety of tracks though from the different games in the series which makes it a bit difficult.

Although, I would like to see someone try creating some of tracks from Mario Kart 7 for 3DS.

I'm just curious though, is there a Nintendo DS version somewhere which has custom tracks imported?

I actually didn't mean it like that. The in-game music doesn't bother me that much, to be honest (even if it does feel out of place without the original or rearranged music).

Thanks anyway...
