Hi, i just installed a wiikey 2, should i leave wiiconnect 24 on or should i shut it off, if its left on can i download the upgrades?

You can leave it on.I don't see why you would want to upgrade but leaving WiiConnect24 will not auto-update.

Nope don't update since they try to stop the mod chips from working and other stuff that makes backups not work.

Leaving WiiConnect24 on is not a big deal, but you should turn the standby connection off. This can help clear out the Wii's RAM in case there is an error or something like that.
