QUOTE(Satangel @ Oct 7 2008, 07:45 PM) Aw, I just installed my D2Pro

D2pro and wiikey v2 will both be support by them for a long time
so don't stress!

Will they be supported as good as the Wiikey v1?

Its actually a totally different coding team. Its the same coder as d2pro -- that was the first 9 wire mod with a config disc. There has been 6 or so update as well to that modchip (1 to fix a big with 1 game, and the other to add support for differnet wiis)

Like the d2pro, the config disc is also the upgrade disc..... It wont let you change the settings of the console without updating from DVD (if you dont have the latest firmware), Which means there is no need to burn 2 discs, just 1 yay!

The config disc also shows your unique serial number....which is extracted from the modchip firmware.

so Ozmodchip is this the best chip for the wii? if not which is?

The best chip--- you can debate that.

The best chips on the market, are the original chips. Built from the ground up.

D2pro, wasabi, wiizard, d2sun...and now wiikey v2.
wiizard has its issues, wasabi is very expensive, d2pro is expensive too...d2sun is cheap is its un-upgradable form...but expensive in its upgradable form.
Its pretty much the cheapet, original chip (i think...there are so many damn chips on the market)

Is this a joke? There has not been a single version of the Wiikey firmware that was not broken. And now these bastards want us to give them more money? LOL If it came down to buying a Wiikey product or doing without I would do without, no hesitation.

lol I recieved two official wiikeys in a row that just didnt work at all, period. I probably would have been better off with the supposed "unsupported clones"

The DOA rate of wiikeys is about 1 in 300~400 from what we have sold....so for you to get 2 in a row would either be a miracle, or bad soldering skills

is there something i can solder this to and then clip THAT into the wii so no solder to the wii?

Not yet -- ive been telling Mr. wiiclip to do it, but he keeps saying "sorry, we have too many clips". The fool doesnt know how popular its going to be yet. Hopefully the official annoucement will get him off his bum

stay tuned if you want it 100% solderless.

So D2Pro, D2Lite and Wiikey2? Why does this team need three different modchips on the market and can they ven support all of them?

And I mean they stopped supporting it months ago. They used the same excuse Waninkoko did if I remember correctly: leaked updates.

Wow, a wiikey 2 ?

What a fcukin cheek. Anyone one who buys one these is a serious twat. But at least here's a chance for original wiikey owners to get revenge; let's kill this puppy.

Oh, so thats why people are downgrading to 1.9g ... how about audiofix ? Does that work to in 1.9s ? Does the configdisk work as supposed to ? NO ??
Stop pulling the bullshit on us, we want a stable and fullyworking firmware for V1.

If Wiikey stopped supporting the original one or got bored of doin it, maybe they could release the code as a goodwill gesture

That was also leaked a long time ago.

(well the hex, not the source-code...)

Edit: Btw. there havent been incompatible games in about 7 months. I think it's save to say, that Nintendo has no other ideas how to block chips with software and therefore we won't need an Update for our chips...

Nintendo cant block it. But we still want a stable firmware and with WORKING audiofix and with a WORKING configdisk.

Be so as it may, but IF the big N tries to screw us don't you think they will update the original wiikey as well?
