now THATS news.

EDIT: OzModChips, when do you guys get your first batch? since its already sent out!

Maybe on friday this week -- but probably monday.
It's not meant to be competition to d2pro, its just an alternative.

With d2pro you are paying for JTAG upgradability, an the Actel IC.
They don't really have the end user features, they are just for modders.

The IC in the middle is just used for the initial hacking of security chip i believe -- so there is no need for JTAG upgradability if they get the stability right the first time.

Aw, I just installed my D2Pro

Is this a joke? There has not been a single version of the Wiikey firmware that was not broken. And now these bastards want us to give them more money? LOL If it came down to buying a Wiikey product or doing without I would do without, no hesitation.

So are you planing for a discount for GBATemp members?

This is the second person from across the pond I've seen laugh at the word "ringpiece"; thats some sort of slang for anus right?

Oh, and to stay on topic its good to see some new about the WiiKey again. A part of me was starting to worry that it was dead.

why on earth would i buy another wiikey product? wiikey was always a mile behind other chips with updates. aftersales support was non existant.

more importantly, it looks as though modchips are not going to be necessary in the coming months....

The backup loaders will never compete with the proper modchips.
Also - even though the Wiikey had terrible updating speed - it still enabled its users to play games for free.

lol I recieved two official wiikeys in a row that just didnt work at all, period. I probably would have been better off with the supposed "unsupported clones"

hehe that was what I asked for a page back

I may also invest in a Wiikey 2, but not right now. Since the old baby still works as a charm!
