Hi
smile.gif

This is my first post on these great forums. I hope I can be an active member here.

I have a question about WiiKey....

Does installing it on my Wii (NTSC, Canada) allow me to run PAL games? I've been looking around, and there aren't many NTSC iso's around.

Help appreciated.

right now if u buy it i don't think u can play pal games (not really sure) but i think they will put into upgrades

What are you talking about, there are plenty of NTSC backups around, you just are not looking in the right places. The ones you cant find are the NTSC-J.

Its not that hard to find NTSC U/J if you know what to use.

usenet ftw!

Both are NTSC but U is for North America (or USA) and J is for Japan. Normally these are considered different regions by the Wii, even though they both use the same NTSC standard. Wiikey breaks the region locking here to some extent. In theory it should be easier to break U/J region locks because they both use NTSC. PAL might be more difficult due to the framerate standard.

wiikey will get to the resellers next week, im waiting for the first reviews before buying. I want to play trauma center ntsc on my pal wii.

Thanks for the asnwer, Hooya!

I'm waiting for the store I work at to restock with Wii consoles. After buying a console, I will get myself a WiiKey.

Thanks a lot for the help everyone.
