I have a Wii I just bought off my cousin. Now I'm going to get it chipped with a WiiKey (My serial: LAH 1013xxxxx) for $85. I heard it was quite easy because my Wii has a serial of LAH 1015 and lower so yeah. Since it is easier, How long would it take for me to take it down and chip it?

------------
NOTE: This is an Australian Wii and I am in Australia for the next 3 years.

There will be people who will say they can do it in 15 mins, and there are people who will take a few hours. But any advertised chip installation should take anywhere between 30 mins to an hour. Then again, you won't know until you ask them, since they could be modding other peoples systems as well.

The majority of my installation time comes from removing the wii case and dealing with the ribbon cable. From there a wiikey is rather straightforward to install. No more than 30 minutes of very methodic soldering is necessary. Putting the case back together can be a chore too if you don't know which screws go where.

It wouldn't be hard at all if you are good at soldering

Dealing with the ribbon cable?

For me:
Disassembling: 5 mins
Soldering 10 mins
Testing: 5 mins
Reassembly: 5 mins

Total time (including minor slip ups) about 1/2 an hour.
