Great working app. Like to see it supporting multiple platforms.

It would be awesome, if you would add a feature to create channels, like Crap or Loadstructor do, because there aren't any programs for this out on Mac or Linux.

Trying to run this on 64 bit Linux and the window runs just fine, but no games show up in the panel listing when I select a directory with .wbfs files in it. I copied over the newest 64 bit wwt and wit executables and still the same issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks for a great program.

Just run "chmod +x" on the wwt and wit binaries, and all should work fine on OS X...

The BIGGEST thing i've found is that no matter what type of HDD is on,(NTFS / FAT32 ) the folder MUST be named WBFS ( where you have your images stored) or the games DONT show up in panel 1 or panel 2 windows!!

That is UNLESS the drive itself is formatted WBFS.

Sorry for the horrid n00b question, but how do you run that on the wwt & wit binaries? I have no idea about terminal...

thanx

Kinda defeats the purpose, but I formatted my External HD on a PC with another storage applocation, then I found this program. Since I use my mac more than the pc I tried it out, and it works perfectly. Maybe those with Mac issues that have access to a pc should give it a shot.

The new gui looks nice.

However it's a real pitty that wit still has the fragmentation bug on the windows platform. So I would not recommend anyone on windows that wants to run games off fat or ntfs to use the wit set of tools and the guis that use it.
I'm sorry for the harsh criticism but I have reported this already about a year ago but tried again today and wit still heavily fragments the created files.
Here is an example of an iso to .wbfs conversion: 194 fragments
(and it gets worse with some 4gb game reaching 800+ fragments)

=== FragExt Fragmentation Report ===

File: zelda.wbfs
Size: 1.07 GB (1.07 GB on Disk)
Fragments: 194

# LCN Extents Clusters Size Percent of File
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 192,599,181 1 16 64.0 KB 0.01
2 -1 1 480 1.87 MB 0.17
3 194,227,799 1 16 64.0 KB 0.01
... SNIP ...
192 191,570,313 1 16 64.0 KB 0.01
193 193,680,102 1 2,432 9.50 MB 0.87
194 -1 1 64 256 KB 0.02

same conversion using wbfs_file:

=== FragExt Fragmentation Report ===

File: The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess [RZDP01]\RZDP01.wbfs
Size: 1.07 GB (1.07 GB on Disk)
Fragments: 3

# LCN Extents Clusters Size Percent of File
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 192,570,940 1 1 4.00 KB 0.00
2 193,682,534 1 57,145 223 MB 20.22
3 192,618,316 1 225,478 880 MB 79.78

Wii Backup Manager also creates the files fine, without fragmenting them.

There are now 3 alternatives for this dead WiiJManager:I don't know the details of all 3 GUIs because I'm using only the command line.

QtWiiGui seems to be the only linux manager that works with NTFS drives. It works well. Wii Backup Fusion looks nice but dosen't seem to work with NTFS drives.

Double-clicking the jar doesn't work mac osx 10.5.8 ppc g5 1.8GHz, using latest version of both the application and java and all my updates for my mac.

Try Wii Backup Fusion instead. I just found WiijManager yesterday myself and same deal.. On my dual core G5 running 10.5.8, the app shuts down right after the icon pops up in the Dock. It took me a bit to figure out how to transfer an .iso to a .wbfs file on my FAT32 drive, but Wii Backup Fusion is working perfectly for us old PPC Mac guys..
