Before you do this, please make only this First.
It maybe is enough to Update/Change this cIOS
IOS249[56] (rev 21010, Info: d2x-v10beta53-alt): Trucha Bug, Accesso NAND, USB 2.0
to
IOS249[56] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, Accesso NAND, USB 2.0

So,please use the d2x cIOS Installer to change it and try it please.
If it works,very good.:)

I wish you good Luck and
Thank you.:)

Hi
I've downloaded wiiflow lite 5.4.4 in my sd card, after launch wiiflow, and after the wiiflow screen, my wii goes back to the homebrew channel. Tried both with an hdd NTFS, and a 32 gb pendrive. With USB loader gx I have no problems.

Thanx everyone, best forum ever! :)
i'm assuming you didn't see any error message?
so this means that for some strange reason once again wiiflow is not able to mount the sd card so wiiflow does not find the apps/wiiflow folder and aborts the startup. this seems to be happening a lot lately and I don't know why. setting force cios to off may fix it for you. it could be beta53 alt in slot 249 is not compatible with some sd cards.
try installing d2x v10 beta 52 with base 57 in slot 249. if that don't work then try force cios off.

Is your USB Device/HDD connected to Port 0 please ?
Yes it is :)
Your sysCheck is.....interesting.
I always wonder, where People get some interesting IOS Versions.
From YouTube, a YouTube 's tutorial
This happens when you don't know nothing at first.....I even didn't know yet how I soft-moded my wii.

Honestly,I would suggest to Update/Re-softmod your Wii using @XFlak ´s ModMii.
Now after one month is exactly what I would do

I think she may need some detailed instructions with cIOS installation or she may run into troubles.

I'll try to do it, but please correct me if something's wrong or there's a better way (10 years or so have passed since my last mod, and I don' want to give bad advices).

1. Download d2x cIOS installer
2. Extract it and put it in the apps folder on your SD card.
3. Make sure your Wii is connected to the internet.
3. Launch d2x cIOS installer from the HBC
4. Set these options:
- Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
- Select cIOS base: 57
- Select cIOS slot: 249
- Select cIOS version: 65535

When done, press A twice on the wiimote to install.
Exit with the B button.

@fledge68 I hope you're feeling a little better, my friend.

Just made a little discovery I wasn't aware of, but maybe you already know it.
It's about the green loading bar showing everytime I access some coverflows.
I knew that the only reason for that was using magic numbers not found in plugin .ini's.
But sometimes, even after checking they were all correct, I kept having that green bar showing up.
So I found out the second possible reason is that the roms folder for one plugin is empty

so i understand what you mean. if there is no cache list file (.db) wiiflow thinks it needs to cache covers even if the roms folder is empty. I could add a check if the roms folder is empty but if someone adds say a text file to the roms folder that will throw things off.

edit: oh health update. so my test results came back, i do not have covid 19. although there is a chance it could be a false negative. meaning the test results could be wrong. but today has been a good day. my fever seems gone and headache is gone and my tummy ache is minimal. I believe that I may have an ulcer or some stomach virus. yesterday i started eating non greasy food and stopped drinking soda and taking ant acid heartburn meds and today i feel much better. even got out and mowed the grass.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

@Tetsuo Shima @alexander1970 ii edited my reply see above.

this is the first i ever heard of wiiflow freezing while scrolling through games.

what type of games? wii games? gc games?
i think you need to run chkdsk on you SD card to make sure there are no problems with it.
second, i would rename root:/wiiflow/cache folder to cacheold and let wiiflow make a new one. this will allow wiiflow to make new list files and cached cover files.

I don't suppose that the HDD with first partition in NTFS could be somehow responsible?

@fledge68 , after 6 weeks of COVID quarantine Wii hacking and struggling to get WiiFlow (or USB Loader) USB Wii games to play without freezing, I finally came across your version a few days ago. I was delighted to see a current date!!!
My problem is, I still can't get Wii roms to play without freezing even with your version (I'll deal with emulators later even though I've downloaded many). I've been installing so many iOS versions and wad files following posts and YT vids from early 2000's on, I may have gummed everything up.

I am wondering...
  1. Aside from "you already need a letterbomb hacked Wii", do you have a recommended setup... such as "use this ios in 249 base 56 and this one 250 base 57"?
  2. After a month and a half of Frankensteining my Wii, do you think I should be trying to wipe this thing back to "normal" and starting over (if there even is a way)?
I've been constantly downloading Wii wbfs files so my library is growing. I just can't get them to play without freezing and requiring a Wii restart.

You are awesome for picking this back up and I will henceforth be a disciple to your teachings. Help me ObiWan, you're my only hope.

@Foxfire downloading wii games is always a 50/50 chance its a bad dump. games freezing is almost always because of a bad dump.
also please post a syscheck so we can see what you have installed.
check this link to post a syscheck - https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/

also to delete or uninstall a wad or cios you installed you should be able to use Anytitle deleter.
