Hacking WiiFlow freezing during games

I've had my wii for a really long time now, but a couple years ago it stopped reading discs. So, yesterday I decided I'd try to revive it, and I'm completely new to modding but I managed to download a handful of games, and get them working on Wiiflow. Problem is, while some games worked fine, some (Mario Party 8, Mario Kart, for example) would just crash at random points, the screen would freeze and there'd be a loud continuous beeping noise. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

It's possible your USB wasn't plugged all the way, causing it to be randomly detached from the Wii, causing the crashes. Try having your USB plugged all the way.
