I use r26 for all plugins and stuff, why r24 anyways? Oh and yes I have multiple ppc, libogc and portlibs folders for every kind of program heh.
r24 just because that's what it says on snes9xgx google code page for compiling. but if r26 works that's even better.

one last question - what's the easiest or best way to make pnp project files for those that don't have them? or should i bother?

Also I now finished my work on the vWii forwarder, its well tested and should work just like the normal v14b forwarder on a normal wii, you can also get it from google code together with wiiflow 4.1:
http://code.google.com/p/wiiflow/downloads/list

I am trying to use the new forwarder channel on a regular Wii and it is hanging when I launch the channel.

I have D2x v8 final cIOS's installed in slots 249 and 250 with 56 and 57 bases.

I wanted to check that it worked on my regular Wii before trying it on my Wii U.

I tried running it off my big 3TB drive but it blackscreened aso I tried it on a 500GB one and it did the same thing.

I tested it with the apps/wiiflow folder on hard disk and SD but it hung the same way.

When I switch back to the older forwarder channel it all works fine.

I will try it on the Wii U tomorrow to see if it does any better.

The new channel will "always" backscreen no matter how hard you try.
It has a different stub (machine code) than the regular Wii channel that only works on the vWii.
There no channel yet that can work on both Wii and vWii simultaneously :)

If I choose update within Wiiflow... Will it update? Or do I need to download it manually? *sorry.. haven't used Wiiflow in a -long- time*

And any word on if the EmuNand works with Pokemon Puzzle League, or Paper Mario yet on Wiiflow on the vWii?

Also.. Do those plugins work on the vWii?

Cool, thanks. I need to learn how to read :)

Happy New Year to all, and sorry for the delay

Tweaks.
I tried to put Resident Evil (2 backup in the same directory file1: games.iso, file2: disc2.iso) Well, wiiflow print two identical covers. Be able to work with a single cover? (I'm using a DM 2.6)

Thank you for 'any consideration.

I find out the problem with Wiiware games. I test the last wiiflow and the wiiware games not Works fine. I return with the Wiiflow 4.2 and the games Works again. What is the problem with wiiware games in wiiflow 4.04? Do I need something more to Wiiware games work?

I just finished my work on a wiiflow channel installer! It will install both the default forwarder channel together with the hidden forwarder channel on your wii/vwii without any wad manager ;)
http://code.google.com/p/wiiflow/downloads/list
Is there/does there need to be a new hidden channel too? or does the old hidden channel just work on vWii and is it just installing that?

The old hidden channel doesnt work on vwii, I updated it just for that installer, no wads or so available, also current wad managers cant install it anyways because of missing IOS vWii patches ;)

I haven't set my wiiflow up with sneek or emulators but have not had any problems returning to wiiflow from my disc games or emunand, is the hidden channel needed with the homebrew, sneek/uneek and emulators sections only?
Or should it be installed in all set ups?

4.1 is so nice and clean, I love it.

Some feature suggestions.. (off my wish list)
Im guessing you are going to try to gradually move rest of settings from the .ini to the Wii save, I like this idea..
(liked your 4.1 tweaks to the settings menu and home menu buttons)
It would also be cool if using emunand to optionally allow the wiiflow setting save to be installed there instead of real nand, for those using emunands who don't mind sacrificing startup time... (I understand this maybe isn't possible but if it is it would be nice).

Emunand channel compatibility improvements..
I found 2 official system channels with problems. Not important channels at all but maybe we can get wiiflow to run them.
Everybody votes channel, loading it gives you option to select region, then it makes a loud electric sound then returns to wiiflow.
Nintendo channel, the banner doesn't display normal graphics and it fails to load. (The banner looks like its a mix of different language nintendo channel banners...made me question is there a region setting which we are not setting when loading off emunand? It seemed possible there could be a connection between these 2 issues).

I would load into nand on startup and return to it if possible, could the startup flow be optional, would this ever be poss?

And a big request instead of DVD style boxes can nand be different style?
Could they not just use the same graphics as they do in system menu, what's embedded in the files (the tv outline box things etc)?
I think the DVD style custom covers should still be an option if preferred but it would look nice with each flow staying true to the original media packaging (wii disc games got proper covers, gc game boxes, hb shows the png, emunand displays channels not boxes, emulators again their original boxes, I think it fits)

the channel compatibility is in the cIOS, once wiiflow has loaded it, its all cios emulation from there. those channels just won't work for now. sometimes its a minor issue that has a workaround, like needing to create a save file first.

since we are on the topic of features, how about looking into network saves? that would be awesome, maybe use dropbox or some free file storage? wiiflow can look for the save download it and write it to emunand then launch the game...that would rock. hell i'd even set up a SMB share just for Wii saves.

Tested the channel installer, works great, only lacks some verbose or info about success or failure.
Also made this while testing:

Thanks Fix

Edit: Can you please compile NES and SNES plugins with version set to 9.9.9 (this will kill the update nag forever)

:)

Hello, I combed through all the pages but I cannot find a simple answer on how to install Wiiflow for the dolphen 3.0 emulator. Can anyone please assist :) ? It is the final piece to completion of my media center, thank you! The latest revision 4.1 of wiiflow causes an automatic crash and all other versions seem to just bring up a yellow exclamation mark logo.

So, I managed to get the wii channel installed finally, new issue is no partitions found. No cIOS found!cIOS d2 x 249 base 56 and 250 base 57 are enough for all your games. Any ideas..?

Nope heh, make sure you install d2x v8 or v10 and then it should work just fine. Also update to the latest homebrew channel and delete the wiiflow and apps/wiiflow folder and do a proper new 4.1 installation.

Okay, let me make sure I understand these steps clear.

Install d2x v10 (through nusdownloader I assume?)

Update to latest HBC, how do I go about doing that.. Bannerbomb?

Installing the wiiflow by creating an SD.raw with the data on it, not launching it directly via dolphin?

Finally, assuming I get this far- how do I get Wiiflow to find my games folder on my pc? :)

Thanks, assuming your the one behind Wiiflow, your work is awesome i'd like to donate!
