I wrote a program to convert the WiiTDB genres to categories for Wiiflow. This is accomplished by mapping the genres to the desired categories. I included the mappings.ini file that I use for my collection.

1. Select the "titlesdump.ini" file (this is selected automatically if the drive is connected and it's in the wiiflow\settings folder)
2. Click the Update button (the mappings.ini file is loaded and applied)
3. Fix the genre-to-category mappings (as required)
4. Click the Output button to save the "categories.ini" file.

Wiiflow G2C

I can upload the source if anyone wants it.

actually the recommended cios for wiiflow is still cios19. I personally use Ciosx20 base 57 with no issues other than a little sluggish when scrolling through games but thats cios20 fault not wiiflow.

Will the CODBO bugfix(USB deinit, from cfg loader) also be applied to Wiiflow? I now have 2 versions of wii flow running (222 base and 224 base).
It would be nice that i could use 222 as default base and that i set game specific IOS to 224 or 249base57.
I think two things are mixed up here. You can already use every wiiflow version to load a game with another cios. It's not problem to have the 222 version running, and launch specific games in 224. The USB deinit fix is ONLY required if you DON'T want to reload cios before launching CoD BO.

So for running CODBO in newer revs of wiiflow it isn't nessarcy anymore to also have the base CIOS of the loader to be based on IOS57?

You just need to make sure that the loader will RELOAD into a base 57 based cios.

I'd like to hear the opinions of a couple ppl if possible! Thx!

i and other of my friends us cIOS249v20[56] and told me it's always freeze very often even scrolling through the games. but when we reinstall to cIOS249v19[57], everything was okay.

Hi, Uber n00b here.

I'm getting a 'disc_setusb' error every time I try to play a game off my FAT32 usb hdd.

I've got a 4.1e Wii with bootmii as IOS and waninkoko's CIOS 249 which I installed using IOS236 Installer v3 MOD to install CIOS 249 online via NUS Downloader.

I can start wiiflow and see all my games and covers, I can also hear the game music when I select any game I just get the error when I go to play the game.

All the games are .wbfs files (that have worked on another wii), in /wbfs.

I've tried with all the files on the HDD and the dol on an SD with no difference.

The wiiflow version is the 2.2Beta (no dol) with the dol from revision 254-249 inserted as per the instructions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance.

@Benjay, thanks for the reply.

Since my post, I've played around with MMM 13.4 and found that I've a number of CIOS' installed - I'm a n00b so I guess that occurred using IOS236 installer online via NUS.

Anyways, I've got Waninkoko's CIOS249 v17 and 250 v65535 - I've tried both with Wiiflow (with their matching boot.dols), with same (no), result.

I notice whenever I boot up I'm on IOS61 v4890 - is this normal?

I also have CIOS236 v 65535

If you do not use triiforce, try updating to wanins ciosx rev19

Mugotu and I decided to put a new public beta online. Since r263 a lot has changed, but most changes where made to make the application more robust and use less memory.

A few things have been changed which are worth noting here:
* Add exit options for the home button and "house"/exit icon in combination with different keys (undocumented atm).
* Support for some games to use port 1 (only in combination with Hermes ios!)
* No more channelsdump and gamedump ini files
* Better device detection and mount support
* Call of Duty Black Ops should work on a base 57 IOS now without reloading
* Added an experimental "grab" movement for coverflow (use_grab = yes|no in wiiflow.ini)

Anyway, revision 301 can be downloaded HERE.

Nice work on the new RC1 release Wiiflow team.

Now Call of Duty: BO works perfect using cIOS 249 Base 56. (As long as you change the game settings to use an IOS that's 57 based

)

I noticed the new loading screen too. Maybe Benjay and other's who make forwarders can remove the loading screens from their forwarders so there's no overkill? (Just a suggestion!)

I've been looking forward to this release for some time. Thanks mugotu and r-win for your work on RC1!

Now I just need an excuse to leave the lab early so I can go home and try out RC1...

A big THANK YOU from me too!!!
I tried the new release and it seems very stable-at least so far...
Excellent work!!!

I'm the one who made that new loading screen

Removing the loading screen of our forwarders could be done , but then you would get a black screen instead , and i prefer to let people now that something is happening , rather than let them believe it's freezed , because of the black screen.

PS : sorry for the strange syntax of my previous sentence , don't know if you see what i mean lol , but i'm a bit tired tonight and it's hard to find the good words....
