Hacking WiiDownloader

Hello Actar,
Thanks for your software,it's realy useful
But an Error message appears"Wiidownloader will be close" when it starts to download"WiiDownloaderInfo.ini" today.
It works well yesterday,so i guess there's some problem with the sever for "WiiDownloaderInfo.ini"
Is there any way to skip download newest "WiiDownloaderInfo.ini" in this situation ？

Sorry, probably I have made an error in last update. But this error i think depends to dropbox.. I'll check for it.
I finish only now at work, if i found 5 free minutes i fix it (if there is a problem).

I have an idea for your app. You could parse WiiBrew for homebrew. It has all neccessary information including download links, a unified layout for homebrew pages and it's pretty much the most comprehensive Wii homebrew database. There's a list of homebrew here: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/List_of_homebrew_applications that could be parsed. It even has categories.

The large amount of requests from the app might kill the site if it connects to WiiBrew directly though, so you should keep the database, but parse WiiBrew for changes daily or every few hours.

Ijust think to that, but there are some problems:

• every archive have different "structure" some have the "apps\program_name", other have directly the "program_folder", other different so much.
• some archive haven't the boot.dol or boot.elf
• some archive are outdated (new release are elsewhere)

I think to insert into database only useful and common programs.
The problem is that now I'm very busy (in my real life ) for update database and I think that the apps have so much thing to fix (but I'm trying to fix, I hope today).

In first, I want to make an application without any problem (intercept any freeze or error), than I could spend my time for database.

Update database won't take me so much time, but I need the mind clear of any problems.

I check for that, and probably was only "dropbox" problem, because when I try, I don't get any error (and I try more and more time)
In any case for skip this problem you can disable automatic update.
You can do from the application (if it start) or modify a section on the file "settings.ini":
[AutomaticUpdate]
application=False
database=False


I last version (1.2.0) I add SO MUCH check for haven't program collapse.
I'll be back Monday, I hope there are no problems.

Sorry for this continuous release, but I have so much to learn.
However, I can assure you that if the downloads are successful, the files are all good. This is sure.

It’s truly the problem of "dropbox":When i get this error messge again ,I can't get any file from "dropbox"

if I download yawmm,wad manager 1.7 and simple ios patcher from your software
yawmm, wad manager 1.7 and sip don't support the motion plus + ,do you recompile the software with the latest devkitpro?

I haven't recompile them: for WAD manager I use only WAM or WiiMod... I can take a look for recompile, but after, I can't make a good good good test for check if something doesn't working good.

For Simple IOS patcher... honestly I have use it one time just for try: I use always IOS236 Installer, then install original IOS and cIOS. I can take a look for it.

But if you have version just recompiled of this program... is so much much better.

I had just find the chinese.ini that add some language String,so i update chinese.ini based on v1.7.2

I have a problem, with the last versions.
If i use the "About your wii"
I choose the Menu region, menu version, i complete my MAC adress

I check the create script box and i check also the boxes
download USB loader GX, configurable USB Loader and wiiflow

The script is right created in the temp folder, but when i want to "start download" i have this error

Initial check....OK!

Error: Invalid script: download aborted.
"temp" > "temp_script" > "- CFG USB Loader - (FORWARDER)Standard" not found.
Download NOT completed...
