i turned wii connect 24 off because my wii was getting MUCH to hot to be in what nintendo calls "standby", ive also heard of the heat frying peoples GPUs.

People PLEASE! Can we get off of this "WiiCinnect42 is the devil thing" ?! The Real issue is that, for those of us who actually like using our Wii's like intended, our way of receiving message alerts (AKA the Blue Light) Is NOT working properly. I have tested multiple times yesterday and the only time my blue light glows for a message is when my Wii is turned on. That is FAR from good for those of us who actually use the Wii Message Board and the Wii Speak Channel to organize our online playtime with our friends.

NOW... for anyone who is knowledgeable in Preloader codes, the question is, "Is there a way we can fiz this via a new Preloader code or will Preloader need to be reworked, I.E. a new version?"

EDIT: Had to switch my loading IOS brom 60 back to 249, Mario Kart, the Guitar Heroes and Animal Crossing were giving me 001 errors again from the Disc Channel

I'm still looking for anyone who is knowledgeable in Preloader codes to help me find a way to solve this issue. I wouldn't know where to start coding to tr to fix this problem so any short bit of direction would be a big help.

Maybe is no problem of the hacks but is preloader cuz everything started when we installed preloader

I'm sure it's a problem in the coding of Preloader but I have a feeling that maybe a well written hack might be able to fix the issue. I just wish I can find someone who is willing to help me work on a new hack.

Correct me if I'm wrong but system menu hacks are applied each time (they are memory hacks after all) at each boot so a code won't fix the problem as the codes aren't applied when the Wii is in standby mode ;-)

OK I now have BootMii installed as Boot 2. How do I take off Preloader without screwing up anything? Also, do I need to set my IOS load back to 60, before uninstalling preloader? Right now its loads IOS 249.

change the IOS back to 60 then run NANDclean to rid of preloader.
with bootmii your pretty much safe.

...Wait... Before I run "NANDclean, do I need to backup my current NAND with BootMii first, then run the program then reinstall my NAND?

no, you should run NAND clean first then make a NAND backup.
you should already have a NAND backup though.
reinstalling your NAND after NANDclean will just basically reinstall preloader

If I run NANDclean, will all of my channels, cioscorp and save files be here. Im not wiping everything out, am I? I also have a bunch of WiiWare on another SD card. I dont want to have to reinstall all those wads again either

Still... that doesnt answer my question...

If I use NANDclean, will it ONLY delete Preloader or my WHOLE nand. I dont want to lose my game progress...

NANDclean will delete the hacks.ini I think, just reinstall your current system menu WAD.
