Hacking Wii with chip - issue

So I have this friend who got a modded Wii.. and I wanted to run a game I have (a "backup") on his wii..
but I'm afraid it will break it..

I want to run RABBIDS GO HOME PAL i have no idea what's his wii region or chip.
if its ntsc wii and the game is pal is it dangerous?

Its only dangerous if it asks for an update upon disc installation and you are stupid enough to actually try to update as it would end up installing an incorrect region system menu causing it to brick!

It can only be dangerous if it asks you to update and you do it from an out of region game.

Start Patch will block updates and some mod chips have a block updates setting. If the animated title comes up fine, you can play away!
