Is the Wii wireless particularly slow?

I have my laptop near to the Wii, and I have a 10mb internet connection. Speedtest.net reports 9.8mb on the laptop, but if i go to speedtest.net on the wii (and they seem to have a wii specific page!?) then I only see around 2.3mb

Any ideas?

Thats a normal speed for wii internet.

Meh, so it's just slow then despite being wireless G?

Guess I won't be using it as a browser after all then.
