Hi all,
I would like to double check a method to install Wii wads. I've checked around but can't find anything definitive and there may be a chance of bricking I gather.
I plan to use Wii wad manager
Have my was (my Pokémon ranch) in /was on the SD
Load wad manager and load ios249
Install

Does that make sense?

Thank you

The basic procedure you said is correct, but: modern wad managers (like "Some Yawmm Mod") do not need CIOS anymore - they can use AHBPROT to apply signature patches in real time (although using a CIOS and/or an older wad manager are still acceptable ways); they can also load wad files from anywhere on SD/USB (although a "wad" folder is still common practice if only for your own tidiness)

Installing a title you are not certain of its origin can be risky due to two main factors:
1- banner brick - this can be readily solved if you have Priiloader installed (a banner brick breaks the Wii Menu's GUI, so you can boot directly to homebrew instead and uninstall the defective channel)
2- the wad not being what you think it is, and overwriting something else, potentially a critical title (check its titleID before installation, for example with ShowMiiWads)

Easy to install on arch and debian in my experience at least. And fortunatley nvidia is moving to open source drivers on linux now (doesn't make them suck any less)

There's some bad colds and flu going around...
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@ZucchiniMaiden, yep. I'm at the tail end of getting better from a cold/flu/something myself
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@ZucchiniMaiden, I've noticed, had a headache and came down with the cold few weeks ago. Getting to that time of year.
  • ZucchiniMaiden @ ZucchiniMaiden:
Yup. I tried to book in for a flu shot today but there are virtually none in my area until late May.

God I've been saying for like the past 6 months that I need a haircut and still haven't gotten one
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
    My hair is a mess
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
But I want a longer-ish style I think, since I've grown my hair out, and I've never gotten a longer style haircut

I've given up on the longer style, as it Never came out right for me. So I went the other way. Mullet style, and.. I'm sorta ok with it. :)

I have to confess I use stremio without debrid services bc using them requires you to spend money and you know we can't spend money online in my country
