After homebrewing my Wii U (Using CBHC) I wanted to load some USB Backups to my Wii U using an external Hardrive. But when I plug it in, even though it says it is powered on. My Wii U doesn't detect it.

I use a 128 GB Hardrive with a Y-Cable connected to the front of the Wii U. The Hardrive is formatted to FAT32.

Any help is appreciated.

Wii U need to format the drive before using it. What you got a SSD?
1st. My Wii U doesn't give me the prompt to format the HDD

2nd. Not sure if by SSD you mean an SD Card, which if that's the case. The knly one I have is a 16 GB into my Wii U.

Ok so it is an external Hardrive.

About the size I don't know I found it laying around some old stuff in my house

Plug the drive into a computer and take a look, drive doesn't end in 128 GB, unless it is a solid state drive.

I actually got mistaken it is actually 232 GBs

It seem like your Y cable isn't enough for your wii u to detect the drive, take a picture of the drive, and it enclosure if it has any.

Well your current drive the wii u doesn't detect it, probably it has to do with the enclosure that adata provide.

The enclosure convert SATA to USB, the Y cable connect to the enclosure, base on what you have right now, the wii U doesn't see the drive, even though the computer see it, seem like what ever the Adata come with wii u doesn't like it.

Its been a while, but Im pretty sure you meant to use the REAR usb ports on the WiiU, NOT the front usb ports for external storage drives.
