Hi,

I hope some one can give me hand figuring out whats wrong with this wii u. It was stuck on the boot screen. I was able to load ISFShax. I was able to do a bunch of dumps and logs.
I checked a few logs and couldn't find any media error.

First it would make sense to check all logs to see what caused the corruption. It's likely a bad eMMC, but could also be a corrupted SCFM.
And then you would use redNAND or USBMLC or MLC2SD if it was really a bad eMMC

I haven't taken it apart yet. I got 2 of these off marketplace. This one and another. The other one won't output video and someone tried to take it apart so i decided i would try to fix the "easier one".
What would you recommend for the repair? I paid almost nothing so I'm down to solder.

You don't need to take it apart. Minute can show the MLC info.

You can do redNAND, USBMLC or MLC2SD

I have a external usb hdd WD my passport ultra. could i use this? Could you point me to a guide?

yes, you can use that with USBMLC, but you should use a USB Y cable, since one USB port doesn't provide enough power.

Hey i was able to get my other wii u going. I used Paid the beak to install ISFShax.

Would you mind looking at these log files? Does it have the same failure?

I opened it up and it has the Hynix chip

What was it doing? I dodn't see signs of corruptions. But the Wifi module seems to have problems. But that shouldn't prevent it from booting to the menu.

It turns on, but there’s no video output.

I bought both of these from a guy for cheap — he may have tried jailbreaking them.

This one was previously disassembled; I could tell because some of the screws were incorrect or in the wrong places.

Everything looks okay on the inside.

Is there any way to boot it in its current state?

Then try reseating the 2,4Ghz wifi module or swapping it for another, if you have the option.

I reseated the wifi module. I tried booting using option 3 in minute and it freezes at this point.

hm even if it was a bad wifi module, it should still leave that screen. Can you try with the wifi module disconnected?
If that doesn't help, then try dumping the logs again and check if any of the logs changed

the meta.bin contains the total number of logs written as raw binary (big endian). The log files wrap around after 99
