I hope some one can give me hand figuring out whats wrong with this wii u. It was stuck on the boot screen. I was able to load ISFShax. I was able to do a bunch of dumps and logs.
I checked a few logs and couldn't find any media error.
First it would make sense to check all logs to see what caused the corruption. It's likely a bad eMMC, but could also be a corrupted SCFM.
And then you would use redNAND or USBMLC or MLC2SD if it was really a bad eMMC
I haven't taken it apart yet. I got 2 of these off marketplace. This one and another. The other one won't output video and someone tried to take it apart so i decided i would try to fix the "easier one".
What would you recommend for the repair? I paid almost nothing so I'm down to solder.
If you are encountering Error Code 160-0103 "There is a Problem with the system memory" or your Wii U is freezing at bootup or during Factory Reset it is likely that the eMMC Chip is failing.
This guide goes into fixing this Error 160-0103, by using a USB HDD to replace the failing eMMC, in a similar way redNAND does by using the SD card.
This guide will reinstall the system files to the USB HDD. If the HDD is already Wii U formatted and you already have games and saves on the USB HDD they *should* be preserved, but if something goes wrong, data might get...
What was it doing? I dodn't see signs of corruptions. But the Wifi module seems to have problems. But that shouldn't prevent it from booting to the menu.
hm even if it was a bad wifi module, it should still leave that screen. Can you try with the wifi module disconnected?
If that doesn't help, then try dumping the logs again and check if any of the logs changed
