Emulation Wii u mod advice?

Hello I recently picked up a wii u and have read up on installing cfw and have done alot of mods in the past but this will be my first wii u. The wii u I have is on 5.4.0 U and after reading I think the best approach would be to do a system update to 5.5.2 then proceed with the haxchi method. Any advice would be greatly appreciated if I should go another direction. Thanks

Yeah, 5.5.2 to Haxchi is your best bet unless you own game that has version 5.5.1 on the disc. I personally have 5.5.2 with Haxchi, and everything works fine.

Use this guide if you're getting started. And also, never mention wiiu.guide or else the entire forum is going to yell at you.

However, I successfully hacked my Wii U with that guide, so I really don't get what's up with the hate.

Thanks for the reply, yeah i saw the negative posts about wiiu.guide and was about to follow it after using 3ds.guide but decided to go with the guide on this site just to be safe.
