Was wondering what progress (if any) has been made so far. I've got an extensive computer engineering background, and I'll be visiting my cousin who has a media preview console, so I was thinking of seeing what I could do. Since all wii stuff is backwards compatible, I'm probably going to start with those exploits, see what prevents them from working, and then modify them as necessary.

..... Seriously?! The Wii U hasn't been publicly released yet! (Not counting IGN, Go Nintendo, etc)

Well I have insider knowledge about the progress and I can tell you so far the progress is:

    SWEET
    FUCK
    ALL

We can't hack or develop consoles using thin air and ideas. We need the hardware right in front of us, even the Wii mode requires this.

Also this so called "media preview console" may be different to what is publicly on sale.
