IMHO,
If it turns out that Hykem decides not to release, there is going to be a major downside to all of this.

It is going to set a precedent for companies like Nintendo and the major game developers to follow.
They can use this information to either stop or seriously hinder Devs from releasing hacks to their gaming platforms by using the principle of history repeating itself.

What happened the last time a Dev announced he was hacking their system?
A bunch of people in the very forums he announced in got impatient, turned on him and started trash-talking the Dev until he quit without releasing his hack.

Sounds like a good, cheap defense.
All you need is a few free login accounts, some well placed posts and problem solved.

You can bet that the next time someone starts talking about a [WIP] they see as a threat, they will send in the troops to trash-talk, insult and otherwise poke at the Dev to figure out his/her trigger and exploit it until they get them to Rage-Quit or just fade away without releasing their work.

Don’t kid yourself in thinking that these companies don’t follow forums like these and have daily meetings about them. This is a multi-billion dollar industry. They are not stupid.

Maybe this has already happened, and that’s what we are seeing now.
With some of the comments I see here, I think probably so.
It would be the only logical explanation for the way some of these ingrates are treating the hand that feeds them...

If I were a multi-billion dollar company where the greatest risk for hacking the video game systems we sell are some devs that might get fed up and quit from a few insults I know what I would do.

I have just been lost this past month and I can see the drama won't end. Does all homebrew work for 5.4.0? And does it have to be a legitimate game that I own to play on Loadiine? And can I host files offline?

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
