Someone should tell Hykem he failed miserably. Piracy is already on WII U (Loadiine). By warning people not to update and by releasing his IOSU exploit he has enabled more people to pirate. Many of these people would have updated regardless and we would have no kernel exploit for 5.5+. Simple really if he want to stop piracy he shouldn't release anything.

Do you honestly not think, he has already considered this? Come on, mate. It's a trade off, no need to state the obvious.

so I checked Antarctica and find out there are mostly scientists there. Is Hykem a scienctist? He`s not a fisherman obviously:rofl2:

It's normal, hykem didn't want to be sued.
But i think when he say more time to hide exploit = hide piracy...lol
But of course he will not talking about here on forum for people bother him

I think its safe to assume that its fake with all the IRC log trolling today. Unless we actually get a post from Hykem theres no point in speculating what he may or may not be doing with the IOSU exploit other than what he actually said on the fourm.

New Updates so stay on 5.5.4.

Nintendo has confirmed two additional maintenance periods for various games on the network. Xenoblade Chronicles X is first up, with a maintenance period starting tonight at 5:50pm PST/8:50pm EST and extending until 7:30pm PST/10:30pm EST.

The second period of maintenance will impact all services that use the Nintendo Network and is slated for the usual Monday maintenance that seems to be so common as of late. All services on the Wii U, 3DS, and online will be impacted, so you won’t be able to play online games during this time.

Monday’s maintenance starts at 12pm PST/3pm EST and extends until 4pm PST/7pm EST. Starting to feel a bit like Sisyphus with these, but hopefully this is a sign that Nintendo is getting its network in shape for its big console launch.

Well... Nintendo does have routine maintenance every Monday. So I don't see the reason to be concerned that much, but its still good to be prepared if one does happen to drop. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Dumb question but... Would the IOSU exploit let us hack the vwii directly? Because 2gb sd cards are super hard to find.

a lot of people find it hard to find because its hard to get the search term correct, try searching for dsi sd card, they are always correct

You know? It would be pretty cool if we could mod the vWii as it could open up a number of possibilities. Just imagine having HD Texture Packs of old Wii/GCN titles on an actual console? That would be pretty sweet! Can't wait to see what potential things come out of this with the console's entire capabilities being left wide open for Homebrew Developers to use!

If HYPEm stops trying to stop piracy, we'll have a ton of possibilities
